buying auction house pdk favored armor sets is broked?

I bought a goristro hide with woodmans guile already added to it from the auction house.
it doesnt activate while wearing the complete set

I tried a sun-soul set i made on a previous life with the spider caparison, and it works.

I only have maybe 100 PDK favor right now.
will it get fixed when i reach 375? can i reapply the set bonus to the hide? help what do I do?

I paid lots of plat for this piece because it had exactly every attribute I wanted :(

figured out what was wrong
my drow piwafi breaks the set bonus
take it off, and suddenly the woodsmanguile is on

I have not tested it myself, but I think what is happening is that the woodsman's guile set bonus is typed the same as regular sneak attack bonuses (like you get from the piwafwi). Since the Piwafwi's bonus is larger than the woodsman's guile, it overwrights it and the woodsman's guile bonus doesn't show up at all (similarly to when you have a Superior Fire Resistance item on and the fire resistance airship buff does not show up).
