I am contemplating a TR on my Human level 20 Tank (20 Fighter/5 Epic). I have the full Unyeilding Sentinel destiny unlocked and it is my main destiny. Within US, I am using the Healing Hands and Endless Healing Hands. With my current build and stats, this gives me 4 regenerating Lay on Hands that each hit me for 186 HP with my current healing amp. My question is, if I TR and go Half-Elf, will the Paladin Dilettante with enhancements increase my Lay on Hands ability. The description leads me to believe that I would be counted as a level 4 Paladin, which should bump up my Lay on Hands by 4 Paladin levels, pushing each into the 700s. However, I am unsure if this is only counted towards item use and not casting ability.

The other Pros of the Paladin Dilettante would be an additional +5 to all my saves, and an extra +1 Charisma from enhancements. The Cons would be the DMs suck (I use an epic Chimera's Fang) and I would lose +2 on the weapon as well as the Exceptional Fortification (50%) from the Sentinel DMs. I would also lose 4 Intim from not having access to Deneith Intimidate and I would lose 10% healing amp from the differences in enhancements from Human to Half Elf. Also, Half-Elves are just ugly.

So, has anyone out there tried the Unyeilding Sentinel Destiny as a Half-Elf with the Paladin Dilettante? I am hoping for some confirmation one way or another before I run a whole life just to test it out.

Thanks.

As far as I know, the dilettante levels are don't count as far as casting ability goes - I've got a couple Rangers with Cleric Dilettante, and they don't get to cast Cleric spells, but they do get to use scrolls and wands as if they were X level Clerics.
