Where's the best place to quickly farm a variety of random Bound to Account items? I'm using Cannith crafting to make gear for my alts, but need the BtA blanks to keep shard costs down. I can make it through Shan-to-Kor in about 15 minutes for the end rewards, and know that Red Fens quests do as well (but not a lot of variety there). Any others?

Sharn is pretty easy.

Sharn syndicate quests: the statler brothers, the accountants in the shiny shilling, the Binder hostages and Zircon's House all have BTA stuff every time.

Red fens quests too produce a variety of BTA cannith stuff.

Chronoscope end rewards are also BTA ( named and randomly generated).

Doesn't Delera's produce BtA stuff too if I remember right (could be wrong though).

Most Delera's stuff is named BTA.

Easier to just put the shards in your shared bank and combine items on the alt you want it on, imo, unless it's something really high-level you'll want on multiple alts cause you TR a lot.

Sharn gets my vote for most things - the quests are usually pretty quick, very easy (except bookbinder), and give you BTA rewards immediately upon quest completion, rather than having to do a whole chain.

However, Sharn doesn't cover some item types. I believe Helmets are part of the list that Sharn doesn't do - your next best bet is probably Red Fens - Longer quests and more running to get there, but access to a much wider variety of BtA items.

Weapons may or may not drop as BtA from Red Fens. If they do not, then Waterworks or Delaras chain rewards are probably your next best bet (I also hear delaras has a larger incidence of metal type qstaves and possibly handwraps. I don't know how accurate that rumor is.)

Sharn and Red Fens are the best two areas as you get your rewards at the end of specific quests and don't have to finish a full chain. Between these two you can get most BTA weapons, armor, and accessories if you run them enough times. The Fens have given me a very wide range of BTA craftable weapons, including handwraps, khopeshes, and repeating crossbows (hard to find elsewhere).

For BTA craftable belts I had to go do the full Sorrowdusk chain (may have to do multiple runs as it's a replacement for a named item).

BTA special material quarterstaves (silver adamantine flametouched etc) can be found in Deleras chain end list. They're a replacement for a named item so you may have to do multiple runs. This special metal item slot can instead be filled by something else (I think a kama), but one of these two special metal craftable items (kama or quarterstaff) will appear if the named item (I think the named handwraps) doesn't.

I've heard that BTA special material craftable weapons of all sorts have a chance to drop in the chain end list for the House D undead pirate chain, but I haven't noticed any. I rarely complete that chain.

Edit: I find that pretty much any quest with named BTA gear will produce some items that are lootgen BTA so check every reward list thoroughly. I have a nice BTA darkleaf breastplate and a mithril shield I picked up from doing the quests in the Lords of Dust chain on heroic levels. Stripped down, they're now being used by a level 4 toon and a level 7.
