1. Just do whatever lfms are out there whatever difficulty.

2. Do the quests until farmed in lowest order like carnival, fens, von etc upwards

3. Choose any quest you like, put up lfm, farm it until not worth it rinse repeat.

4. None of the above

Any advice? I have about 8 toons 20-22 and not really sure of best (or at least decent) way forward.

Thanks

If you are looking for a fast way to get to 20-25, ditch the Elite streak for a Hard one. Most of the content can be solo'd hard with a hire or 2. LFM's are a bonus and a very good way to find a TR grinding group. Work at your own pace. Try and run quests 2 levels above for elite and 1 level abouve for hard. Hold your level until almost cap. Several lists available for the actual quest grind - how many times on E H N for optimal XP per quest. Stuff like skipping necro 1 for 3 barrel cove if you have trouble with undead. Sorrowdusk and the level 7 house D chain to skip necro 2.

Hard streak then normal Forgotten Realms, then the same for Eberron epics.
But of course doing something you like or is fast more times is ok too, 10 or 20 penalty doesn't matter much.
I try not to get repetition penalty for VoN3, Claw, Into the deep, Don't drink the water and 2nd and 3rd Forgotten Realms flagging chain.

This is what I've done for leveling my fvs from 20 to 25 so as to get maximum possible XP out of quests done after capping.

DISCLAIMER: This is not the most efficient way to do so. It's just a way to 'sacrifice' as few quests as you can. I am assuming you hit most content at least once when leveling (such as doing all fens quests on elite once, for example)

- Run all the epic quests on EH

== If you farmed OoB, Fathom the Depths, Chamber of Raiyum or Jungle of Khyber but not quite exhausted the XP on them (something like 3 - 7 runs done), you might want to skip those until you are capped.

- 5-star the eveningstar challenges.

- Run all the new epic content on EN (eveningstar, druids' deep - assuming you didn't hit it when leveling, and frankly, why would you do that?).

- Run the old epic content you didn't run when leveling to 20 on EN too.

- Finish King's Forest, Schyn**** and the Demonweb explorers (I couldn't bother doing underdark)

- Start sacrificing quests you don't like and don't plan to run ever again.

Here is a super user friendly guide to leveling 20-25 I wrote up that has worked well for me and friends.

It keeps the grind at bay and keeps repeats way off until you hard cap @ 3 mill xp

Hope this helps and have a great day :)

I don't see how it's hard. I don't even own MotU and I got to 25 just farming up tokens and scrolls in under two weeks, while playing casually.

What I want to see is xp ramped up in the 17-20 territory.

This is pretty much my strategy. It leaves quests available to destiny farm, but does take some restraint, not to jump into the commonly LFM'ed quests too often.

I fully agree with that! I admit it has gotten much better in this territory than when I started, The missing chain, Inspired and dreaming dark, the secual to the missing chain, the lord of dust chain and the lower level motu ones you can do heroic. But It's a long period of a players time, and variety is the spice of players happiness. :)

So, when you get to 25 then what do you do? retire the character, TR, or? I have 15 characters and I have never hit max level once my highest is 21 right now with a couple of 20s. Always figured once I got to max there would be nothing to do but repeat everything. Any thoughts?

Plow avithoul and dun robar at 2 minutes a pop with no repeat timer shamelessly for destiny XP.

I envy you. Dun Robar takes 10-15 minutes for my melee....Avithoul takes quite a bit longer.

But you are right, they're great XP sources...

The road to 25 without purple dragon favor, or the road to 25 with PDK favor? They are quite different paths. (The former is much easier and faster but then you will likely want to get PDK favor later if you want items from CITW).

I do not see much of a difference. Just do EE eveningstar/schyn/demonweb instead of on EH.

If you are up to it you'd EE streak those chains, then EH first time them, then 5/6 star the challenges, and that will significantly cut into the XP you need from classic epics. You can then cut out a lot of the old stuff.

Run quests at level that you haven't ransacked xp on. Keep it up and you will end up at 25.

Not sure if first-timing them on EH would be any better, when considering time, than just doing it on normal.
