Unbind Commendations

Suggest that the commendations be unbound. Considering all the items to upgrade are all bound I don't understand why these should be.

I can jump on board for BtA commendations of heroism and possibly the Eveningstar ones as well, but completely unbound? I'll pass on that.

They are quite too easy to gather as is.
When you can walk in at 20 and get enough for everything you need in less than a few days? (did it) or even a week? or in some peoples cases, a month?

Similar to the Red, Blue, White & Black Dragonscales we had to farm months and months for that now drop like flies. ...spoiled. :p

If they were like Flawless scales, then I'd say remove the whole binding together, but they're not that rare.

They might be easy to get, but they are not fun to get. That said, I could see BtA, but that's all. I'd prefer to see the Eveningstar Challenge ingredients go BtA first.

Commendations of regular quests? Not needed, you can get them easily.

Commendations of CitW? Yes at current droprates, but there will be changes soon, so maybe not needed anymore.

Here is how the situation currently works.

I am on some character.
Person X is on some character, and says "hey I need to farm commendations, want to come along?"
If it so happens that my character has no further use of commendations, I have a barrier to yes.
Grouping is good, so barriers to grouping are bad.

If commendations are made BtA, the barrier is reduced, but still exists if it happens that none of my characters have further use of commendations.

If commendations are made fully unbound, not only do I have no barrier, I can halve person X's farming time. Less tedium = more fun = better game.

In a larger sense, these were not made BtC because someone had a really good reason for their decision. Every decision made by Turbine is based on a lark, on a whim, then they (usually permanently) move on. It so happens that this coin flip came down against us, but a coin flip is not a reason.

The "I farmed for 3 years to get my widget so everyone else should have to too" position is sadly petty. It is incomprehensible to me how popular it is.

If only questing to get something out of it, besides xp and a grouping experience and just being social, then I think you're not really enjoying the game anyways.

Even if you have gotten the gear from them all, you can still trade them in for the potions.
