Hello,

I'm writing this for my brother right now who have some connectivity issues. Yesterday, he tried to log on with his character to join me and my guildies for a few runs, but the loading screen between 2 instances was taking too long (around 5 to 7 minutes without any progress in the loading bar) and he close the client with the task manager. He logged back on, but they didn't let him in, as the game said the character was already logged in this world. (I checked through friend's list and he is marked as offline)

He logged in with another character without any problems, so he logged out and tried to come with his main, but he got the same message. He exited the client, close everything. He even rebooted his PC, but to no avail.

Now, more than 12 hours after, he still can't log in. Still says that the character is already log in. What are his options right now?

The same thing happened to me yesterday. I submitted a ticket in game, the devs had me submit another ticket through their technical assistance website. Crossing my fingers for both of us.

Well my brother submitted a ticket through their assistance website this morning. He's at work right now, so I don't know if he got an answer. Hope he'll be able to log back quickly. He's still new to this game, but he loves it so far. Would be bad if DDO loses a player for something like that...

I recommend not to panic. Note that tech tickets take a bit to be responded.
This "character is already in game" shows up in the forums now and then, surely there's a fix.

Same thing happened to my main character (Azlix). All of my mabar ingredients are on that character, and i was 200 motes away from creating a full robe :( I submitted a ticket on the web site as directed by the in game support. I really hope this is resolved quickly.
