Hey Sarlona,
Witchies here... Got bored so I thought I would start sketching out my main toon. My Barbie girl... Got a concept of her semi sketched out. Would like to know what folks think of it so far or of anything I could do different to make the sketch a bit better.
Let me know yall, would love to hear good constructive criticism!!!

Pretty good except the hair is a little flat looking add some light white highlights to add more depth and I think it would be great

Kind of looks like old samurai art style-wise.

Very pretty, and my thought was already put in the thread, the hair's lack of definition bothers me.

A little off-topic but Count Chocula is a better vampire than Bella Cullen.

Nice detail on her armor and weapons agree about the hair highlights other then that your attention to detail is awesome. Look forward to seeing it finished :)

I know the quality of the pic isnt the best, it was taken with my camera phone lol.
When I get a chance to scan it, you will see there are Auburn, Brown, Copper and Black Highlights in her hair :P
Just the cam phone didnt reflect that as well..
Keep coming with critiscm folks, I like hearing what I could do better :P
Also, trying to go old school with the textures, Semi R.A. Salvatore Novel Covers, and PNP from back in the day.

I can't draw anything better than a stick figure so I can't criticize much.

Looks great! Only thing that bothers me is that the hand/arm holding the weapon looks like its a really awkward position.

The issue I see with this is depth. Based on the way she is holding her weapon it seems like her hand would have to be out in front of her body, however the top of the ax is behind her shoulder. You should either move the weapon into the foreground blocking her shoulder, OR just flip her hand over so that you see the back of her hand instead.
Great work though. Much better than anything I could draw for sure!

Looks pretty good so far. I want to see it all colored up; your shading adds a lot of depth where the sketch will fail to do so.

Arm idea has been taken into consideration, I was iffy on it to begin with, but wanted to incorporate the Greataxe, was thinking of doing a backdrop of the demonweb, and maybe having the greataxe at a 90 degree angle attached to her back? Still going old school with the color work. Any other suggestions folks?

I'll tell you what Witchies; art only has two viewers, the artist and the viewiee. You can do anything you want and be pleased, but you will never be able to please the viewiee. Because besides you, everyone else has their perspective on what is appealing.
A number of years ago, I was walking the halls in school and I saw someone with

in their binder cover. I thought it looked cool. Mentioned it and the kid acted surprised and told me I drew it a while back. I was shocked that I drew it. At the time I didn't think I was capable of that level of detail. Later that year, I got the picture back and scanned it when I had a scanner. After scanning it, I realized I did give it to that kid when I was in the library. I gave it to him because I thought it was a fail. Now it serves as a reminder that no matter what, art is art. Peoples opinions of it will always vary, but as an artist, you put what you want and can, from your mind, into reality, via the tools at your disposal. Some people will cherish, relish, and savor everything you make or do; while others will abhor, hate, or yell about how bad you are.
I say keep on truckin' finish it with the colors by what you initially wanted to do, then appraise your own accomplishment and if you feel a need to change something you did, make a new piece. :)
