I like the idea of a world trade channel. If im in house d doing whatever and someone is trying to sell a scroll i want, i can see it and respond. Otherwise i would never know. It could also free up players time rather than standing around the mp waiting for trade responses when they could be running around selling, restocking or whatever.

Make it default to general tab, seperate from zone /trade. Then give the option to deselect it from showing in that tab (or showing in other tabs if you prefer).

I feel stupid running from zone to zone to sell a duplicate item I picked up.

Or, after EVERY bug has been fixed, maybe add a tab to social for trade. limited to one trade at a time, auto drops after 5 minutes.

Technically we already have a world trade channel. It's called The Auction House.

However, I would fully support the trade chat channel (and also the advice channel) broadcasting across instances. If someone in House D has an item to trade and I'm in the Giant Hold wilderness I'm not going to hear about it. Similarly, if I have a question that I ask in House K and the person who knows the answer is in Meridia it reduces the chance that I'm getting an answer.

Also, it's not as if this isn't do-able. For example, the Auction House in Necropolis is the same one in Meridia, with all the same items for sale. If I /tell someone in Water Works while I'm running Party Crashers my message gets there, regardless of the different instances. Guild chat works for all in a guild regardless of where they are. So why can't the /trade and /advice channels do the same?

The OP's suggestion really just makes sense.
