So tonight I hit my favorite loot/renown token farming quest with 3 toons all from fresh ransack timers. I hit the jackpot with the first two toons. Legendary tokens dropping left and right in the 3-6 possible chests. I mean it was so good I gained half a guild level just off those first two toons. Now, enter toon 3. Out of 8 runs, saw total of 41 chests. NOT ONE SINGLE TOKEN DROPPED! I cannot possibly be that unlucky. NO WAY! I did however get a token in the end reward list from the questgiver every time but Im pretty sure its standard in the list because one is always there. I bet someones phone rang in the middle of the night because an alarm went off at Turbine and they got called into work to shut off my token drops. No soup for you!

edit* Tonight was the first time I farmed with 3 toons. Ive only used 2 before but was extremely excited over the luck I had with the first two runs

Someone posted something very similar to this about a month or so ago. It wasn't happening to anyone else, so they either ran into a streak of bad luck or guild nargles.

What level are your toons though? Cause, if hypothetically this is giant's vault, which I think it is. If I ran that with my lvl 23 chars, they would get little to no tokens. Lvl 20 chars would be fine though.

First run was with 21 Arti
Second with 19 Wizard
Third 23 monk

The answer was given in the previous post. Overlevelled characters do not get guild renown.

Apparently token chances taper off the more character lvl you have over quest lvl. This I did not know. It starts out at 20% chance then drops 4% for every character level over quest level. So my lvl 23 monk in a level 19 quest had 4% chance. Had roughly the same chance as a lightening strike proccing. Whew, good thing i didnt waste LDS's on this lol!! Guess I'll be pulling my monk outa the running till next life.

The unfortunate thing is that with true randomness yes, yes you can be that unlucky.
