New invasion( Amrath pack)

Well, i have learned a new way to do this quest..(for the end boss fight)
Instead of kiting the the boss with one person heading down, i find it is a lot easier as a group if there is commands to move.


Here's the short & simple way As a group
- everyone has feather fall on

Head down the shaft or the hole

At the moment you get down your going to be swarmed with many devils

most likely your going to get that one person who is slowest floating down(which is good for the plan)
Anyways

As all head down, everyone will head one direction which is left to right or right to left which ever the leader decides

You will not hit or stay on a platform until the whole group is down and right close by.

As the group runs together going left to right, you may stop, hit everything that is in sight

then when you see a portal below you run to the next in lane with going(the pathway you chose)

the step above will be continuously done as much as possible until the boss is destroyed

the healing requirement thing is usually a person with heal scrolls since you will not be taking that much damage at each platform.

I tried this method and it worked 5 of 5 times rather than depending on one to solo the boss

The method shown on wiki seems a bit rough so, this is just a better method to use(in my opinion).

It works good on any difficulty, and its not a new way to do it.

Its pretty faster then soloing, tho whoever gets chained will proly die.

Edit: My usual tactic is to assign gathering spot (tho i usually use nswe instead of left right), assign movement, clockwise or counter clockwise, jump down, gather, kill the devils, smack boss, move when portal opens.

well this allows for pugs not to die because at first they will be running then second when all is running the leader hoarding the pack would then stop with everyone stopping with him/her.

Not sure that way is new.....

It has been run that way since it came out.

I will say that it takes coordination of all the party members so I can't see a pug doing well in that quest.

I haven't pugged in 3 years though so maybe I am wrong by saying that. It is possible the pugs have changed/improved.....

This "new way" is the old way. Until day 2 when someone said screw it and sent down someone with blade barrier to kite and solo the end fight.

Now it's even easier, kite and dot.

Well on norm u can just surround the boss in the center of the room and just nuke him if ur dps is nice. :P

This tactic u suggest may work on norm,hard but i doubt it can work on elite. And keep in mind that if any1 dies on a platform that platform will constantly explode since a dead person counts as a person standing on that platform still.

A sorc or fvs can solo it way more easier and quicker anyway ;)

well i just thought the old way was get everyone down, stand and not move until portals rise then you move either way.
(well of course that is what i saw in a video)
