Monk Gearing for Level 20+

I am looking for some advice on gearing my monk.

Ninja Spy
Str based
GM Mountain and Fire Stance
Non tank

Buffed up level 22
Str 36
Dex 30 (-2 in stance for 28)
Wis 34
Con 34

Head - Lens of the Woodsman
Helm - Green Steel HP
Neck - Shinto
Trinket - Planar Focus Subterfuge (+8 Wis)
Cloak - Drow Piwawi
Belt - Epic Spare Hand (w/ +1 Wis and Blue slot )
Ring - Shinto
Gloves - Claw
Boots - Madstone
Ring - Epic Buckeneer (w/GFL)
Bracers - Claw
Body - Spider-Spun Caparison - (+3 Wis)


- Is the claw set the best choice here?
- Shinto VS Nyoko
- Green Steel helm, Is this a good slot for GS on a monk?
- I don't have the new pack for the new cloaks
- I got ideas from the Mentau 2.0, but the thread go off track a bit
- Second TOD ring, how could I replace Buckeneer? (GFL, Good luck +2, Dex +7, Protection +5)

Any advice from the monk experts would be appreciated.

My helf dark, balanced monk loves this set up.

Helm: min 2 45 hp

Neck: kyshos

Bracers : sun soul

Ring 1: dun robar, exceptional str> 2, dodge 4, exceptional combat mastery +5

Ring 2 : kyshos ( holy burst)

Boots : swap spot, boots of corrosion/ fom/ tod boots

Gloves: claw

Belt: sun soul

Cloak : drow sneak attack one

Trinket: gem of many facets ( gfl)

Oufit: spiderspun ( dex 8)

have shinto set, claw set, and the sunsoul set alot of extra raw dps

This. I am going for this myself too. Only difference is for bosses I pull out an eRing of the Stalker for extra sneak attack over +5 stunning dc. Unless you have imp sunder which the +5 sunder dc could help land it. So I guess its a trade off.

This is my favorite set up so far, although the claw is nice, I wanted to be able to fit my hp item, chrono set, and madstone boots in, I value the boots and the chrono set more than I value the abashia + claw set because the boots proc is almost always on. Also, this way I can fit in some hp with heavy fort instead sacrificing another slot.

1. My Position on the claw is that if you have the space do claw + abashia, if not do just abishai with charged gauntlets, though both are great I always have the charged for when I'm not tanking so the tank can have full threat. The sun soul set is good too but than I wouldn't have a combat mastery +5 item and I'm not taking off my epic stalker ring for it.

2. Shintao, I'm pretty sure that sneak attack on the nyoko's doesn't stack with other sources.

3. I would say any GS slot for a monk could work, but I use the helm of frost only because I like the helm of frost for extra charisma for silver flame pots. (I could slot this in an epic slot but I have multiple characters I use tokens for)

As for the ring slot, Epic Ring of the Stalker I think is the best especially since you have the wisdom to stun epic mobs.

I have lots to consider. I'm leaning twards not having the sun-soul. I think the three slots is a heavy price for +2 damage. Same with the Abishi set.

I like the GoMF used for the Claw set.

Looks like I'll just need it all, and swap accordingly.

Helm - Epic Mroranon (this is an odd word)(GFL slotted)
Neck - Oremi's
Trinket - Epic Gem of Many Facets (nothing slotted so far)
Cloak - 45HP GS (basic triple earth)
Belt - Epic Spare Hand (+6 int / Toughness)
Ring - Oremi's (Holy burst)
Gloves - EClaw
Boots - Madstone
Ring - Telvi's Touch (Acid Burst) (For charisma and +1 wis)
Bracers - EClaw
Body - DT Outfit (Deathblock / 20% HAmp / Haste Guard)(Want a better sov rune, but too lazy)

Wanting to get the new red armor, but that will throw things into a little bit of chaos as I will run into redundancies with heavy fort/toughness...But I will figure that out when I get the 2 stupid comms I still need...

(Int slotted and charisma on ring are for SF pots)
