armor kits: quick question

will an armor kit disappear when i upgrade armor?
spider-spun caparison upgrade to the villager set in particular.

yes... it's tied to the armor piece you are currently wearing when using the kit.

I just found out the hard way. I put in a ticket asking for my turbines back that I spent on the kit. I'll update if there's a response.
I added a colorless to my Epic Blademark's btw.

I still think armor kits should either a) be cheaper (like 50-100) or b) the kit-remover should return the armor kit to an item in your inventory so you can use it on a new piece of armor.

I'd buy far more of them if I could reuse them.

I think I recall a recent Dev comment that suggested that they will be revamping the cosmetic armour at some point, soonish.

Upgrading armour from the cove which has a kit DOESN'T lose the kit.

I had a set of leathers from last year, which I finaly finished. No problems, the old kit is still on it.

Well you know between that and thier side project of getting that pig they put wings on airborn... Soon is a good word :P

Gear with tiers like the cove items just get their tier replaced, which keeps the original item with the kit.
Gear that changes into an upgraded version like the epic items are destroyed and you are given a brand new copy.

Call customer service (which I beleice is what a dev had advised). That's what I did when I changed my marilith change to the new augment system and they refunded the price of the kit to my account.

You're far too critical of Turbine.

No one put the wings on the pig to make it airborn. Use your common sense. They have a catapult for that.

The wings were a proof of concept that they applied to the new outfit appearances which were much more urgent and necessary than any bug fix.

A while back I used an armor kit on my hide of the goristro. Then I upgraded it to be part of the woodsman set, and the armor kit stayed with it.
