No planar focus greatswords? Is it some part of storyline or background?
Why should my LoB FvS even bother about this raid, since there is no appropriate reward option? very frustrating...

I know how you feel, I was thoroughly upset that there was no planar focus throwing hammer. Why should I run this raid if it doesn't offer me an appropriate reward option? Very frustrating..

Yes, because throwing hammers are so commonplace compared to the niche greatswords fill.

Eighnuss is little sarcastic, but he have right point of view. Wide fellowship of scimitars/khopeshes users oppressed as well :/

Yep. A little dissappointed that there is no scimitar there. Not much reason for me to run this raid really either. Oh well.

Don't forget dwarven axes, looks like lolth doesn't like height impaired adventurers.

They're not even her weapons, she stole them.

Heh, I think the greatest travesty is that there are no epic returning darts.
Just think of how awesome taverns would become with epic darts.

I don't get why they pandered to monks, but not every other TWF melee.
Heck, even Balizarde was ALMOST really cool, til they admitted they screwed up and it's supposed to be Piercing, not Slashing.

Monks are a special case whereas all monks can use kamas and quarterstaves, but no monk worth his weight in salt would use anything other than handwraps. That is unless hes a splash of monk.

Is there any reason aside from Kensai that anyone cares if what they're wielding is a g.sword or a g.axe or a falchion or some other 2H slashing? Hopefully the enhancement pass will get rid of that nonsense.

Where are the planar focus wands? Shouldn't Lolth have some kind of godly wand?
What about a planar focus one-hand that caters to wizard necromancers or something? Where is that? Most wizards don't use staffs don't-cha-know.
Also, why limit planar focus to weapons? Where are my planar focus googles, boots, armor, bracers, rings, necklaces, and etc?
When I am planar focusing, I really really really want to planar focus. I believe planar focusing boots would truly help me "focus whatever plane I want to focus on" to the utmost.

The OP has a very valid point. The eSoS still is the only endgame weapon for greatsword users. Why? Really. It is about time for more options.
The sarcasm used to cutify the frustration is unneeded.

Warforged Favored Souls who take the favored of/child of/beloved of the lord of blades path get greatsword proficiency, along with some to hit/more damage bonuses.

i had offered this in a post complaning about the cost to make the weapon part of the focus set.
let us keep the named items upgrade into focus free of commendation cost.
BUT add the upgrading ability to have ANY weapon upgraded, with said rare commendations, into the set as well.(same goes for he armor set into the different evening star groups).
this will help a lot of people who have their gear that would like to include in the set.
let it work like the alchemical ritual in stone of change (only without the bugs). or the festival frost alter (only on ALL items not just random loot).
this will also mean more people will grind the new quests for more commendations, as they will want ALL their weapons sets to be emm.. part of THE set.

Well, that's just plain wrong. The ultimate Dark Monk, the Dark Monk who is the Darkest and Monkiest of Monks, would be using a pair of Celestia, Brightest Star of Day (http://ddowiki.com/page/Celestia,_Brightest_Star_of_Day) sunblades because there is nothing - NOTHING - more awesome than dual-wielding light-sabers (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/LaserBlade) in a pseudo-mediaeval fantasy setting. You know, just like you'd had a double-bladed lightsaber staff that had been chopped in half, or something.
There are no circumstances under which this isn't a better option than handwraps.
None, I tell you. ("http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RuleOfCool)

My issue with most of the CitW weapons, is not the fact that they are such a pain to get. Nor is it the fact that there is one or two types missing. No. My problem with these weapons is KEEN. STOP PUTTING IRRELEVANT MODIFIERS ON MY WEAPONS. By this I mean, 95% of the melee users of a weapon are going to possess the Improved Critical feat for their weapon type of choice and IMO having Agnoy, Balizarde, and Nightmare deal bleed damage over being keen would just make them a little bit more useful (this logic also follows for Greensteel MinII weapons and other named weapons with a ML>12).
That being said, everything in this raid that ins't a lightsaber is just completely outshined!

hmm damage is light only. so any dr not in the form of X/- mean nothing which is great.
but the downside is you don't have improved critical:Lightsaber . which kinda make it hard to increase crit range.
easy fix would be to implant the long waiting for
Ninja Spy III:" Your skill with the blade reach it's pick. You gain Improved Critical: Lightsaber, an additional +2 Balance, Hide, and Move Silently, and an additional +3d6 Sneak Attack (for a total of +6d6). You move an additional 10% faster while sneaking. You can expend ki to preform the Ninja Spy mind trick: "Sit" .
- "sit" :spend 10 ki to force an enemy to fall prawn" (save at 10+monk level+wis modifiers). last 30 sec.
on a side note. i feel that any hit with a Lightsaber should count as critical...
*EDIT*
hmm. just looked and ... might be that Ninja Spy ARE the only one who CAN crit with this weapon. they get improved crit short sword. and it is one. any1 else who goes by the pierce\slash crit range will get nothing.

Anyone with improved Crit Pierce would still get the wider range as it is actually a collection of feats including short swords. It came up when devs were explaining why druids needed improved crit bludgeoning because unarmed is under that feat.
