Corm is far superior.
Seeker 10 and 20% fire absorb vs Incineration guard and fire burst.

For Monks and against mobs without fire resistance the old one is better. ^^
(As long as you only care about dps gain)
And fire resistant or immune mobs seems to be less common since U14.
For a +2multiplier flaming burst is better until you are able to have a 16-20 crit range.
For a +3 multiplier flaming burst is better until you are at a 17-20 crit range (kopesh user)
For a +4 multiplier flaming is only better until you are at 18-20 crit range.
But since this kind of dps gain is only important for boss fights and most bosses have some kind of fortification this calculation switches again towards flaming burst.
On the other hand... if a boss is immune to fire it doesn't help you at all. But apart from that fire immune/resitant bosses the old robe is better, at least for monks.
So yeah, depends what you want and expect from the robe and how valuable the other effects are for your equipment.

what if we asume you already have seeker 6 on something? ring of the stalker, various goggles, etc. lots of things have it.
the new set has heavy fort but that can be slot'd on the original.
then of course we need access to the vendor wich is not very easy in and of itself.

only 4 seeker on my tank because I have the ring of the stalker.
For DPS the classic is better against mobs with no fire resistance if you already have 6 seeker slotted.
Let's not forget about the colorless slot on the old armor.
on my fighter tank I prefer the classic.

Don't underestimate the guards. 10 or so damage on average each time you are hit is a lot.
That said classic red is very medicore against even 10 fire resist, and even though immunity to fire is rare at endgame now, resistance is far from rare.
Finally, fire absorb. Against bosses that throw 250 damage DBFs (not rare), it lets you get away with lower HP than you otherwise would as it takes some of the sting out of their burst damage.
Overall I prefer the new version but not by a huge margin.
