Hey, all!

I think I would be a lot happier with my DDO playing and other online gaming if I could use a quality headset that didn't constantly get tangled on my desk or on my chair. Does anyone else use a wireless (rechargable) headset that they would recommend?

Thanks in advance! :)

Find a Bluetooth Headset, typically used for a cell phone, that is comfortable for you and has good sound quality (inbound and outbound). There are Tons of choices from $10 all the way up to crazy money. I like the Motorolas, Logitechs, and Jawbones but there are tons of great choices in different styles and price points. YMMV.

You might look for one that supports MultiPoint -- MultiPoint allows a headset to be paired to multiple devices simultaneously (computer, phone, tablet, etc). You can switch between which device is actively talking/listening with a button press, not unlike Call Waiting on a landline phone.

Once you have found a Bluetooth headset that you like you will need to purchase/install a PC Bluetooth adapter (USB), unless your computer has one built in (some laptops). These can once again go from $5 - ???? The installation is a slam dunk on most PCs running Win7 --- typically no software required. Plug and Pray.

No Wires Required. You might find a headset that charges via a standard Mini/Micro USB cable so that you can plug into your PC in an emergency to charge it while in use (like forgetting to charge the headset and losing voice mid-raid). Wires are not required, but they do make a good backup plan.

I find logitech is the shiz. Whenever I go for those offbrands that sound like it, or just came out it just sucks.

Though I have seen alot of xbox and ps3 players use those turtle beach massive headsets. Kinda remind me of the old DJ ones, but I really doubt they have that kinda speaker quality from back then.

I just use a wired in logitech headset. Plugs in with a usb and my voice booms out crystal clear over the speakers even with this games sad voice program.

And a headset does indeed help. You can always tell a guy or gal that has a real headset. Mainly because you don't have to cut any and all volume just to hear their drained dying voice with the speakers jacked up.

Course I don't even do that anymore. I tell out right out, if you can't get that peice of **** mic on your desk or on ur head to go louder, ur talking to air.

The Corsair Vengeance 2000 Wireless 7.1 headset has been getting pretty good reviews. I haven't personally tested one, but several hardware sites I trust to evaluate this sort of thing have generally rated it highly. Newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826816008) has them on sale for $109.99 (normally $149.99).

Best of luck!
