Epic Token Fragment drop change?

Did the mechanic on these change?

I've been running mostly new stuff since U15, but I haven't seen any sacks drop since the update.

Then today I was hunting the ooze in Red Fens protect the village quest. I figured I'd do it on epic just for some chance of stuff, and I noticed that fragments were going directly into my bags.

Maybe I missed a release note change, but I don't recall seeing one.

Don't recall seeing anything about this change either, but yes, they drop directly into your bag now. No more crying tbag in chat, yay.

On the down side, this seems to mean there're no more token frags in FR stuff. At least so far I haven't noticed getting any.

I hit 20 on my current Tr after U15, have only been running Eveningstar and Underdark quests since, haven't collected a single fragment .

I believe that was how it was supposed to be. They said Forgotten Realms would not have Eberron epic tokens, so it would not make sense to have epic token fragments dropping there. I would have liked for that not to be changed post U15, but it seems it has.

Tiny bug, you get a message saying you got a token fragment from *insert mob name* every time your get a scroll, we figured this out with a friend yesterday.

Every time we got that message we got both a token fragment and a scroll in our inventory.

oh? *goes to look* bummer... no such complete luck.

I got the epic fragment message twice. But only one new scroll in my bags. no dups of any previous scrolls either.

My observation has been that the droprate for fragments in Eberron side content is way down. I've certainly seen far fewer tokens pop up than treasure bags drop (with random collectibles in them, as in heroic content).

Turbine really needs to stop ****ing around with tokens and figure out what they want to do with them, and by figure that out, I mean reduce the ****ing grind to slot epic items!

My experience so far with the Epic Fragment drops since the Update is that the number of drops have been reduced greatly.

Pre-update, I'd say per quest there was an average of 5 to 8 token fragments each run. Sure, there were some runs with no drops, but they were rare. And yes, there were some runs with a great number of drops, with an extreme of about 20+, but those were extremely rare. But it wasn't unusual to rake in tokens in a 3 to 12 range.

Since the update, I've ran at least two dozen Epic quests, both Ebberon and FR epics. And I've received only 3 Epic Token Fragments drops from mob kills. In that time I've received one Scroll drop. When the Epic Fragment drops are almost on par with the unadjusted scroll drops, there's something really wrong.

did drop Epic Token Fragments [say around 200 of them in approx. 6k kills]


They may just be a placeholder for another collectable, if not suppose to drop there???




As for Eberron... the epic quests there DID drop Epic Token Fragments during the quest.






I can't tell you about after U15 as I did a TR and looks like it will be awhile before I get back...







btw did they fix The Black Loch Epic Chest... so that it actually gives Epic Token Fragments as it wasn't giving them anytime I ran it since U14 with no fixes in 14.1 nor 14.2???

I'm not certain, but I don't think any chest got fixed as it were.

I just ran Black Loch, EH. No fragments for anyone in the party.
