Posted a bug report after submitting a ticket and getting a gm who never even contacted me. He just put a canned response into the ticket and closed it. Classy.
Anyway, don't LR unless you want to chance losing all of your destiny XP. You've been warned.

Bumped up for serious importance. Such a report should make all red lights flash in turbine hq, with someone personally looking at character history to see if it can be true. I fear the sirens are all hooked up to the store though...
On a side note, last life I LRed, but did not claim my destiny again and immediately TRed (in retrospect that was pretty risky I guess, but I just wanted to get a crafting xp reset before the TR and was bored by clicking through my build...)
Even then, when I hit 20 again, I could claim my destiny with all points being intact. I'm not at all meaning to say it did not happen for OP and is a total ****up by the devs regardless, just trying to eliminate things causing it.

try logging out an back in, every case i've seen on sarlona was fixed by this.
The one that wasnt, he didn't have his destinies showing up in map view, but they were all unlocked still, and with their progress in tree view.

I also lost something after an LR recently. An Epic Blademarks Docent and a Tharak Wraps Collar both of which were equipped to Cordovan, my iron defender. I had just crafted them minutes before my LR (straight from the Epic Altar to the Device Workstation and then to Kruz for an LR). I also put in a ticket immediately after noticing them missing and after instructing me to log out/in the GM asked me to file a bug report because there was nothing else he could do in response to my ticket.
While this thread may not be about my loss I can certainly sympathize with what it feels like to loose something you've worked hard for to some random bug and to be told by in-game support that nothing can be done to rectify the matter. It doesn't feel good at all.

If I were you, I'd start writing the title in CAPS LOCK "LR ERASED MY DESTINY XP", then I would PM a Dev, or two, or three, or 4 until I got an answer from them. If I don't like the answer, then I would keep posting on the forum till Id get my exp back.
I'm serious. This is one of the worst bug ever. It's like stripping 4 PLs from a character. I'm afraind to LR my char. This needs to be fixed NOW. ONCE AND FOR ALL.

Maybe change the title to "THIS SCARES OFF LOTS OF POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS!". Other then that, I concur.

There have already been several reports of this (including 2 guildies) and I have yet to hear of any being fixed.

Took me 1 month to get back to where I was before I lost all my XP in Epic Destinies. Not so bad.
I cannot imagine the state of rage I would have been if I had 6 or 7 capped Epic Destinies wiped instead of 1...

Look in your character's inventory carefully. That's where my pet's gear went when I did the free LR recently.

Something close happenned to a friend of mine, he just filled a ticket and the GM gave him enough xp back... not sure about your case

I tried that 2 times (because I know GMs can do that) and it never worked. I guess one must stumble upon a VET GM to have this kind of fix allowed... incredible...

Heh. In my opinion, a GM that hands out XP is more likely a very new GM. There's a couple of GM's have been around for years (or at least the same + name has been used for years) and I dread receiving the intro "I'll be helping you today" (right...) message from the old timers because 20 seconds later I know I'll be getting "That is not a known issue. Please submit a bug report. Is there anything else I can help you with today?" Ticket closed.
But for the OP, yeah I'd be screaming like hell until someone helps you.

I don't know if it will help, but for U14, the developers took notice of the "list of broken things" thread and actually gave some decent answers. If this bug is around, it is very serious & needs to be brought to Turbine's attention, which does seem to wander.

Want it fixed fast? Call Turbine directly. I believe they even have a toll free number now (welcome to the 20th Century!). In game GMS, e-mails are just going to cause delays and frustration, but generally if you speak to an actual human being... things tend to get done.

This. I would like to LR to redo my feats rather than waiting two weeks to do it through Fred but I have about 10 million destiny xp that I am afraid to lose. I would cancel my sub and uninstall if I lost it all and couldn't get it replaced.
And yes, I also recommend calling them. The GMs in game have very limited power. Most of them are merely the equivalent of help desk technicians-- they have minimal moderator powers and mostly follow a script. They can't help you.
Call their CS number and emphatically state that they will permanently lose a customer if they do not remedy this problem.
