Oh there are epics and raids to be sure. You just have to be in the right club to get into them.

You can be, join Tobril's "Defense" channel, I see epic quests/raids forming on that channel.

Yeah, people will grab for guild runs in there too though. I know there have been a few nights we have grabbed people from there for raids.
