Since the Cormyrian Scepters were changed to being caster items rather than melee sticks I have not had a chance to see the breakdown on what abilities can spawn on the weapons. I have not quite gotten enough materials to turn in for my first level 20 version due to gold lions being such a low return but I hope to have one today.

Please link or post the stats of the Cormyrian Scepters you have picked up and we can begin checking which enchants have a chance of spawning.

LvL 16:
+4 with 3 Abilities: 72 Elemental Spell Power, Greater Lore, +1 to a school DC


LvL 20:
+5 with 3 Abilities: 90 Elemental Spell Power, Major Lore, +2 to a school DC
(happens to be 2[1d6])

LvL 24:
+6
114 spell power to one random element
two "blue lvl" suffixes

EG:
X element mastery (superior X lore + efficent meta X)
and
X school mastery (greater necro focus + spell pen IX)

I will update this post as more options come in.

I pulled a lvl 16 scepter a few days ago, but I recycled it because I had better.

It's stats were +4, greater ice lore, Conj DC's +1, and corrosion 72? I forget the exact number that the corrosion was.

Finally got around to getting the parts, ended up getting a +5 +90 Nullification, Major Void Lore, Greater enchantment focus. Really nice for a PM with nothing better gear wise.

Got a cpl lvl24 ones, both bad. Forgot to ss em

but iirc they were:
+6
114 spell power to one random element
two "blue lvl" suffixes

EG:
X element mastery (superior X lore + efficent meta X)
and
X school mastery (greater necro focus + spell pen IX)

Another one had a more generic +1 spell focus mastery instead of the +2 to single school.

not impressed. Should be at least max lootgen lvl imo, 120 power.

Better then the qstaffs at least tho, as you can have four suffixes dualwided, while they only offer two.

The thing of note is the Extend II, which I don't think shows up on random gen scepters (but I think can rarely show up on staves). Maybe this means you can get a Major focus off a scepter too.

Obviously it's basically **** since all the things on it don't really go together. If your stars align you can get a (mostly) better than random gen scepter it looks like, but yeah, good luck with that. Considering you can get much better than your average Cormyrian scepter off the AH for next to nothing... this whole low ingredient drop rate + low xp + random gen thing is utter ****ing fail on Turbine's part. And yeah, like Shade said, they really should be 120, not 114.

And that one u got actaully sorta works on 1 spell - meteor swarm. Fire lore makes it crit, and impulse offs its blunt dmg portion. Tho the way it is now, you need both a combustion and a fire boost item.. Which makes the only really good option the raid staff if you are spec'd say force/cold like me.

That is a pretty exceptional club all around. I sort of wonder if being a club makes it better than scepters somehow because I haven't seen a II metamagic or a major focus on a scepter.

Another thing that bugs me about the cormyrian scepter is that they should have named it war wizard or something to differentiate a caster item from a non-caster.

And I'm still scratching my head over the breeches and robe. Is one caster and one melee? Who the **** knows?

+4, Radiance 78, Greater Acid Lore, +1 Necro
+4, Devotion 78, Greater Repair Lore, +1 Conj
+4, Magnetism 78, Greater Void Lore, + 1 Conj
+4, Resonance 78, Greater Fire Lore, +1 Conj

Looks like I was wrong about the 72 spell power I posted earlier.
