As you can see in the screenshot:

I maxed out Shadowdancer.
Now, after I hit 24 points, i.e. I got 4 yellow dots, and I got the max 24 points, I KEPT GETTING XP, so I left it, and thought maybe I get another level, lvl 6 for fate purposes, as I already had the full 24. I dunno I guess I wanted to see what happens.
Well, nothing happened.
So why did it let me do that? It should say "Maximum achieved" as soon as you hit 24 points. no?

My (incomplete and probably flawed) understanding of the ED idea is: now that you've maxed out one ED, you have to lose all of the benefits of it and go level up another one so you can twist it back into your main ED. Is the XP progression a bug, or can you apply it to another ED? I don't think so, because I think it has to be active for you to level in it.
So congrats on maxing out Shadowdancer; if you want to add twists (and not waste the XP you're still getting), you won't actually be able to use it for a long, long time.
Again, apologies for errors in this post; I look forward to your letters.

You cap 1 XP away from level 6 (you can see 1,979,999/1,980,000 in your character sheet) just in case they ever add more levels to existing EDs. In which case you'll only need 1 XP to level your ED to 6.

Yes indeed you are right - one point away. Still it's pretty annoying they let you get useless XP. That should not happen.
And as also been mentioned a few times already, it's pretty sad that to get fate points, ones needs to leave the destiny one wants...
