Last night I pulled a banishing longbow of smiting from an enorm wizking. Does this sort of thing drop regularly?

Very unusual.

But also somewhat un-useful, as I do not know of any mobs affected by both Banishing and Smiting. Nice to carry one bow instead of two, but I would prefer Banishing bow of <something that works on outsiders> AND <something that works on constructs> bow of Smiting.

Banishing/smiting things have been falling like crazy since MotU went live... for a while, it seemed like very end reward list for 20+ level quests had a weapon of that type in it.

Yeah difficult to smite if they've buggered off back home

But yes ive never heard of or seen one before and I truly have looked at a lot of Bows

Not sure if its really valuable tho

Not terribly unusual, with high end loot tables.

I've seen quite a few banishing/smiting, banishing/disruption and vorpal/disruption weapons around.

Same. Seen many since MotU release.

Only mob i can think of that Banish and Smiting works on is Inevitable (Marut) as they are extra planar constructs.

OK, I stand corrected. Still, all of them sound like a joke, for the reasons I stated in previous post.

I got a +1 dagger banishing of disruption.

Like a utility belt for stabbing things with. Useless on my artificer though, didn't sell in Sarlona's AH either

I actually really like the vorpal longsword of disruption my ranger is currently using. If you actually do calcs for 1k+ hit point mobs and a high rate of attack with around 40ish damage per swing...

Whether the target is undead or living, its hitting for about 33 extra damage per swing, due to the instakill.

Ever since Feather changed the loot tables with U14? Sure.

While not regular, I've pulled several such combos like that. One was a vorpal disruptor.

I tend to pull such about half as often as I pull RR stuff.

The odd thing is that I pull combos like that even more than I pull metal type weapons. I have pulled metal type exactly... 3 times since U14, but combos like that about... 6 or 8.

For players... sure. But not a bad utility collar for a pet so you don't have to swap their gear often. The banishing disruptor one.

My favourites have been a couple of weapons with BOTH anarchic burst and true law.....Can ONLY be wielded by either Chaotic or Lawful aligned characters... totaly mutually exclusive..

I was almost tempted to put them on the AH for a couple of K just to see if anyone was dumb enough to buy them..but they ended up in the decon machine.

Works great vs true neutral and neutral evil too.

Not sure what you saw, but two such weapons I saw each had only one restriction. If it is True Chaos (or Absolute Chaos), required trait is chaotic. If True Law, required trait is lawful. "True" part trumps "A-----ic" part.

I may have kept one of them. Will check, and provide screenshots if yes.

They are :) Had fun with my Arti leveling buddy in EVON3 final boss fight watching double vorpal procs.
