With most of the old raids either containing the option of doing them on Epic difficulty or Old Raid loot is up-gradable in someway. The Restless Isles and particularly The Titan Raid has yet to be updated. To me, there is a ton of potential for this pack that right now is completely wasted.
The problem I see (don't have the exact numbers) but most FTP players skip this pack for lack of content and VIPs simply pass on it because there is very little worth from it. If the above is true as I believe it is, it would be an excellence source for Turbine to increase sales if this pack had some of it's loot enhanced and challenge increased.
Being that most of the design work and coding is already in game. I think it would take little to drastically improve the game-play and worth of this adventure pack and give the player-base more content and more loot which we all love.
Take gear for example.
Example of Epic Versions (alittle bit of wishfully thinking :D)
Bereavement - + 7 Battle Axe: 2.5[1d8] +7 Damage, Seeker +15, Double Expanded Threat and Increased Multiplier (18-20/x4), Doublestrike 8%
Belt of Brute Strength - +8 STR, Superior False Life, +2 Exceptional Strength
Rattle Charm - Proof Against Poison, Superior Arcane Lore, +100 Potency, Corrosion +150, Sonic +150
Seven-Finger Gloves - +10 UMD, +15 Open Lock, +15 Disable Device, +5 Sneak Attack Bonus
Titan's Fist - Force Shot V, Intelligence +8, Superior Kinetic Lore, Force +100, Potency +80, +5 Upgrade
just to name a few but also some upgrades to items like Staff of the Seer and Ancestor Ring.
You can also make the Titan Raid more challenging. A few ideas...
1. Instead of Warforges spawning in the Crystal room randomly, they spawn around the crystal everytime someone takes a crystal and chase that person. Also like the rays that hit the person carrying the crystal, that carrier also takes 100% more damage, HUGE negative AC bonus and complete loss of Fortification/Resists so if the Warforge reach that player and get to attack him, the player is toast. Even the Titan himself is a huge threat, so managing him would be a must.
2. Also include that the crystal has a time limit in which is must be used. Say 60 seconds. If not used in 60 seconds it does AoE damage like the ones in Lava Caves although far more deadly.
3. You can also increase the # of pillars needed to kill. However, instead of knocking him down and the laser doing damage to him, the lasers simply only disables the titan's shield for a certain period of time or until enough damage has been done (10%). During this time the raid is required to DPS the titan down. With a full burn before shield pops back on, the raid would need to succeed on 7 of 8 pillar/laser shots as I believe at 80% his shield goes up and you have to burn him the last 10%. So miss 2 pillars and you fail, or not enough DPS between pillar drops and you fail.
The goal here is simply to involve more people in the actual raid. As it is now really only 2-3 people do the actual encounter while everyone else pikes. How it is done is not my suggestion but simply an idea for a more involved raid.
Anyways I think it would be great if this raid and adventure pack was given some new life. It's kinda sad to me seeing it so neglected.
