So I seem to recall a dev or GM post pre-u14 where they were talking about all the cool things they intended to have in u14. Druids, new expansion pack, new challenges and then they said we hope to add more Prestige Enhancements, but with all the cool stuff in u14 already we're not sure can fit it in so it will be in the next update.

I just looked at the release notes in Lamm for u15 and I don't see anything about PrE's. Am I missing something? Are they added, but not listed in notes? I would think if you were that close to adding them in u14 then surely u15 would have them.

Anyone know the dirt on this?

That's because it was set for U16.

It's part of the enhancement overhaul that has been pushed to update 16 sometime in November last I heard.

Every time I remember that Enhancements will look like WoW Skill Point trees, I cringe a little.

It's going to be so bad, it has to be even redesigned to support the skill point tree format. Enhancements will be overhauled just so they can look more casual.

The enhancement UI makes me want to light myself on fire every time I use it.

Clear trees will be a "boon" from the UI perspective.

I expect that in the end the power curve in some areas will go up others down. (People will scream bloody murder) And then they will go up more.

People seem to have some illusion that this game isn't totally different from release.

NEWS FLASH

This game is totally different from release.

In 10 years (Assuming it stands the test of time.) it will be that much more new and strange.

Years ago the cap used to be 10, Irestone was a raid, Tempest Spine was considered endgame. There were no favored souls, artificers, monks, or druids. There were no half-orcs, half elves or even drow for that matter. No wall of fire, no wail, none of that.
You had 4 enchancements at anyone time... max...

The game has changed some for the better, some for worse.
Some changes are not meant to be made.

It amazes me how so many people come away with the conclusion that it will automatically be bad just because it looks like a tree. It may not look like a tree, but that doesn't mean it doesn't already function largely like one.

The problem is mostly that it's currently a single big tree you can advance from any side you want.
The idea of splitting into 4 different trees active with separate AP spent counters is what causes concerns.

If it's well designed, the new system won't change anything while making out livre easier.
If not, it will break some (maybe many) builds. Remove the fun from many of out characters while we didn't ask for any change.

The problem atm is with the quality of the recent changes and additions to the game, players have learned to be pessimistic.

To the OP : the enhancement revamp was first announced for U14, then pushed hack to U15, then to U16, and last I heared they're not quite sure it will make it in time for U16.
