Blue Dragonscale Docent

So after scrimping and saving and farming and checking the AH 20 times a day, I have obtained 19 of the required 20 blue dragon scales. The plan had been to pick up a blue dragonscale docent for my Artificier(who was level 16 when I started buying scales and is now up to 18).

But before I grab the docent, I want to know if it's really worth getting. I have a level 18 warforged artificer, will he be able to make proper use of such a docent?

Blue dragonscale is a good fit if you don't have another source of potency and arcane lore. Ultimately, it comes down to how you play your character and whether you need those abilities and/or can fit them somewhere else.

the scales are relatively cheap now, about 10x cheaper then they used to be. and they drop alot if you farmed on higher difficulties, so they shouldnt have been that hard to get. I got 20 whites, and 15 blues, and some black (did so with trading a scale for a scale, probably managed to get abour 12 or so of each before I ransacked the chests)

as for if it'd be a good fit, since your lvl 18 the Quorforged Docent of Battle (+20/+9/+3AC, Construct Fortification (10%), Constitution +6 Improved False Life, Will Save -2. Can be unsurpressed to add toughness and superior false life) (From mindsunder, upgraded at dreaming dark). atleast that is what my warforged wore around that lvl (although he was a palemaster. And my arti's dog has one on atm).

The dragon armor isnt bad if you dont got another item with the potency but there are a number of runearms that have it. Lucid dreams has potency, tho I dont remember how much, and arcane lore, and I believe tovens hammer has potency as well. my arti wore a Mindfury Symbiont for greater arcane lore whenever I needed it (also has a clicky to raise spell power, and raises spells DC by 1, so it was nice)

...I totally forgot that Lucid Dreams has Arcane Lore on it. I've also already got higher potency on my helmet. Ugh, I am glad I checked this out!

Anyway I bought all my scales off the AH, they weren't THAT expensive(average 80kpp each, I waited for deals) but that's still close to 2,000,000 over several months when I don't make a whole lot of money!

So I guess now I gotta figure out where that armor would see better use...
