Hello,

ok I give in...I will buy the expansion. I'm trying to get it via clickandbuy since I dont have a credit card (I'm from Germany). I have verified my account, I have verified my mobile phone. After I have filled out the form at ddo.com with my information and click submit the clickandbuy site tells me, this transaction cannot be done due to security concerns. Does anyone have an idea? Any German here who used that method?

I want to pay with direct debit (Lastschriftverfahren) and it wont let me.

Any advice would be appreciated.

(get a credit card is not valid advice ;-) )

You need to contact Turbine's Billing & Support about this issue.

Depending on the cause of the security issue, they might then direct you to contact Clickandbuy to sort the problem out if it's on their end.

When dealing with online payment processing, no general "how to" is going to suffice, as there are a million and a half reasons why Turbine or Clickandbuy might be refusing the transaction, and only contacting one of the companies directly is going to get you a real answer.

Thanks.

I have contacted clickandbuy already but still waiting for a reply.
I was hoping to hear from someone who has used clickandbuy sucessfully for a turbinestore purchase.
Im looking to find a permanent solution for my DDO payment needs since for now Im relying on gametimecards as well which are not really a good deal. (but at least they do exist)

Why oh why do I keep having problems paying for ddo? -.-

I hate to say what you're probably afraid to hear, but it might be that Turbine does not accept Direct Debit transfers from non US-residents. :(

I haven't seen it say this anywhere, but like I said Turbine can tell you something for sure.

have you got the option of pre paid credit cards in germany. That way your not using credit, but a top up card that u can refill at your local post office or convience store, or some such. We do in Australia.

I never used clickandbuy, so I can't help you with that payment method. However I can tell you that paying via Paypal works from Germany, so that might be an alternative.

Well, I am German too and I have a credit card :D ... (sorry for the joke).

Ap0k, if you don´t have concerns against PayPal, make a PayPal account. They use the Lastschrifverfahren. I use PayPal without my credit card and I pay with it all the DDO stuff, it works perfect.

Heya,

I do have a paypal account but I always had the same issue with them. My account there has been verified since forever but they always asked me to give them my credit card information. I dont know why thats happening. I remember that I have sucessfully used them to pay via Lastschrift (direct debit).

I know that I can transfer money to paypal or clickandbuy and then pay. But that is really inconvenient for me since it usually takes 3 days for that whole process to work.

thanks for the tip. I have looked into that at some point since I always had troubles with paying for DDO since the Codemasters version of Europe closed. My bank offeres prepaid cards for like 39.90 Euros per year. And you can really get by in Germany without a credit card. I know its convenient and all, but they are a gift from hell :P And shelling out another 40 Euro per year JUST to be able to pay for DDO isnt sth Im willing to do. I have a hard time justifying what ive paid over the last 6 years as is.

Just tried paypal again. Same result. I have a verified account, I have used it for direct debit before. I tells me with my paypal account balance i cannot do the transaction. Apparently we have a different opinion on what direct debit means. No clue why i have to verify my account just so that they wont do direct debit. I could have just transfered money there without any verification so Im a bit confused what the whole thing "verified account" means. So now paypal is asking for my credit card again and Im ****ed off.

So far the only company that actually did direct debit is moneybookers. I used those to pay for my turbine points in the store.

I bought the expansion from germany using Click&Buy. Had to transfer money over to that account first and no, it doesn't take three days anymore. German banks have arrived in the world of quick transfer a while ago even though many residents haven't noticed yet. ;-)

Only downside is that you got to pay tax first and get it reimbursed later. US tax that's not appliciable once they verify you're really from europe.

That is strange, I thought with Paypal would always klappen...äh ..work. Maybe because my EC card is "Maestro" or because I have "dispocredit"?
And yes, better to live without credit card, but I very often rent a car, so I have no choice...
