True invisibility!

So I was playing around in orchard when I got an interesting bug...

ZOMG IM A GHOST! TRUE INVISIBILITY! You can't do better gimp wizard with no real invisibility spell!

Just crossbow and runearm appearing, but everything else works fine... Already bug reported it.

You guys dont know how cool it is to see a floating crosswbow kill everything he meet!

This happened to me on my twf character couple times as well. Personally I kinda felt it was a little cringe worthy and not very cool at all. :/

I think this popped up around U14, maybe slightly earlier. It used to be that you lost your character model when changing zones and you'd wind up as just a floating weapon. I don't remember if it happened most commonly on the guild ship or if that's just where I ran into it the most often. XD

I've never seen this outside of Orchard. It was funny the first time it happened, though

This bug has been going on for a VERY long time - at least 2 years. Sometimes if your loading is taking too long the character graphics appear not to load, but the game pushes you through to the instance anyway. Zoning usually clears it up. Lag and/or computer speed appears to impact the frequency of this bug.

Zoning will usually sort it, or if you happen to be a druid you can shapeshift & that'll work too as it forces a redraw of your character model.

At least you can see the xbow... I had that happen to me in Cerulean Hill, went completely invisible. At first I thought i fell through the textures, but no, seemed just like the toon went fully invisibile.

That was happening after zoning through the backdoor of an airship as well. But it was so cool it was universally agreed to be WAI.

Happened to me several times in Assault on Summerfield last night.

When I would exit or enter a building I would disappear.

I think mobs could still see me.

I'm not sure that you're invisible, as such. I think you're either underground, or infinitesimally small: IIRC when you get hit, or other overhead text appears, the damage numbers float up from ground level...

Had this happen to me on my monk. Since I didn't have a weapon out it was a little hard judging when I'd land a blow on my enemy. Or know when I was surrounded.

not new - ive cleared several Orchards with a floating sword or stick - but it was only funny the first time.
less funny even - today it occurs in Menachtaurun also (as desert is on my 'mindless-farming'-list atm. Apparently several other places.

This is a known issue and has been fixed in U15 which is currently on preview via the Lamannia Server.


Characters should no longer go invisible when changing between instances.

For now an albeit crappy fix is to go in and out of the door/threshold several times until you character is drawn right/visible.
