I cant really say I have a favorite genre really as I kinda like everything. Except for that beeber type stuff. No. I do not like that stuff at all. Nope. Not at all. DEATH TO THE BEEBER! :D

Hmm how vague can I be? Progressive/experimental/avant-garde rock and metal.
Or maybe astral metal! Because I like 100% of the bands in this genre since it only has one band.

See this just means you haven't heard enough stuff yet! I bet I can find some genres you will hate, like harsh noise (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGzrL8J0t-c), which is rather difficult to enjoy.

My music taste changes depending on what new thing I've just heard.
Music of the now: Electro Swing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electro_swing) [sample] (http://youtu.be/_sBZdSHAIZI)

Puh! Ive heard plenty of music over the course of my short lifespan! Everyday brings the opportunity for me to find something new to love or hate. :D

80's "hair" rock.
But.... I like good music from any genre. Basically if it was in the top 100 of it's day, I will probably like it.
In my current mid-life crisis, I am leaning toward the harder metal stuff.... like Disturbed.
but I still enjoy softer stuff too... especially if it makes me feel nostalgic in some way.

I am all over the place, but as far as faves, my teens and 20s fave of glam rock and metal has given way to my 30s fave of indie rock, and blues.

I'm all about the post-neo-roots Congolese cantillation - but not the stuff you hear on the radio - the real stuff.
I switch up so much, actually.
I'll really, really be into jazz for a few months then wake up and throw on Clifford Brown and be bored to tears and put on The Slits.
I guess I tend to like jazz, old-school punk, some classic rock bands, reggae, western swing, Brazilian and some bits of everything else.
There are few styles for which I can't find something I like though I don't enjoy flavor-of-the-week pop and sappy, corny stuff.
My least favorite song is the one that I'm really digging until I realize the lyrics are about misogyny and/or hatred (although generic violence is fine).
