Almost 3 weeks ago I was rear-ended on my way to work. While the injuries were minor (cut fingers, bruised chest/shoulder), my bike was totaled - mainly cosmetic damage, but when you replace 75% of the chrome on a bike, it gets pricy.

Since then, I've been scouring craigslist for a replacement bike, fighting with the other driver's insurance to determine "fair" value, and picking up a old 1981 Kawasaki KZ440 LTD for something to play with while we work out our differences. I'd bore you with the details, but to be honest I'm eager to jump back into the world of rich carbs and spongy brakes :D

Thankfully, as a premium member I can let the game sit for a bit while I have fun in RL. My best friend (Jovial on these forums before he left the game) is about to get a bike of his own, so we're gonna have fun planning and executing some long road trips - I wanna ride up the west coast myself.

I'll catch you guys and gals around some day - just don't mind the bugs in my teeth.

Take a few extra breaths of fresh air for me...

God know some of us need it.

I'll miss seeing your posts man.

Haven't ridden for quite some time, and it is the best time of year to do so. Best wishes on your adventures to come.

Nice one. I had a fairly big bike accident 6 years ago. I have had a couple of bikes since, not at the moment though.

Since then they have just been transport and I've never really got that awesome feeling back about biking. I need to plan a long trip next time, get it all back again.

Have a great time.

Shiza! I'm just starting to come back and you're taking a break :(

I havent had a bike in a few years since my last one was vandalized. But the plan is to buy another in the spring. We will see how that goes lol.

Back again... after replacing my dumpy 2005 Sierra Red Sporty with a beautiful Pacific Blue 2008 Sporty (thanks to the generous settlement with insurance), I ended up dumping my bike at 50mph... key learning here is to not try to get every last bit of life out of threadbare tires :)

This time, my bike got away virtually scott-free, and I took the brunt of the damage with a fractured right wrist and a variety of road rash that managed to penetrate all of my leather. Basically, everything I was wearing was trashed (except my boots and underwear).

So now I find myself forcibly grounded - the last time I healed up quickly, and got to play on my Kawasaki while I ****ered with the insurance, but now I'm the weak link holding up my fun.

If you see me running around Stormreach, feel free to say hi... just don't expect me to pull my own weight in a group. I'm not left handed...
