You know how there is an instrument-shaped greatclub for bards called the Mad Lute? Well, I want something like that for my PM. If you're studying necromancy, it's a given that you'll be spending alot of time in graveyards, probably digging up a grave, collecting herbs for spell components, and generally getting dirty. It's not a job for bare hands, so obviously you'll need a shovel, since the Bigby's line of spells don't exist in DDO, and wizard summons don't take orders very well.
If you're surrounded by skeletons (which can be very difficult to insta-kill), it'll be nice to have a heavy blunt weapon handy to smash them to bits when they make a will save vs. Command Undead.
Furthermore, if you try to solo Running With The Devils in vampire form, a shovel is the best thing with which to dig your own grave with.

Hehe, perhaps a quarterstaff with a shovel graphic?
I think a lot of Necromancers would like some sort of shrivelled hand on a stick to wave around (sceptre)
Barbarians should get a leg of ham (greatclub), otherwise they'd be after the hand-sicle.
Perhaps some more instruments too:
A tiny violin (sceptre)
Cowbell (buckler)

A shovel would be cool, but a massive scythe would be better (and Death's Touch doesn't count). Skulls are cool too, I'd like a stave topped with a big skull and some antlers to hang bone necklaces from. Just the direction I think when i hear Necromancer, though.

shovel and scythe would be nice.
other would be spinewith head on top of it, one other thing i would love would be tin flagon/beer stein for dwarves of course being weapon :) (for some reason my casters in nwn2 often run with stein or spoon in their hand. which reminds me wooden spoons for assassins! )

It would be nice to see necromancers who can properly dispose of the bodies themselves, instead of leaving them to the wildlife or the poor cleric. :D

I'd love a scythe with a jet black, gruesome looking blade for a necromancer-themed caster item.
I'd like a greatclub that looks like a sapling torn out of the ground, complete with branches still sticking out of it, for those brutish barbarians.

If weapons didn't scale based on your race, then more halflings would be played just for the comedic factor of seeing them use an Insanity or Rahl's Might scaled for a half-orc.

What they also need is a cart for PM's to pull around, and have an animation much like they have for the reavers. But instead of cackle, they need a "Bring out your dead...." call. ;D

This magical shovel was said to have been created by an apprentice of the Pale Master Sanura. It is said to have killed its maker in an accident involving a pretty girl, grease, a cliff, exploding barrels and a Dirty Kobold.
Maybe something like that.

I'd love if scythes became available, since it would look good for both palemasters and the newly implemented druids.
As for shovels I'd settle for an little mini Igor companion, complete with dig hole trick and everything :D

This is a horrible idea. The correct way to dig up a grave is to animate the corpse inside and have them dig themselves out.
Use a shovel, noob PMs these days.
