This is the build I plan to use for my last life on this toon for a while, I would appreciate feedback on feats, skill point allocations and anything else you may see that is flawed with the build. Thank-you in advanced! Goals are high twf dps without using wraps, trap utility and umd.

Considering taking point blank shot for manyshot burst, also idk what to take for epic feats.

Kensai or Stalwart? Both help DPS, Kensai gives seeker & tactics, stalwart give more cushioning.

Swap fighter for barb? (moar DPS!) (more skill points too)

I have a Kensei II monk/archer that I tried stalwart with. After a while, I switched back to Kensei. I did not like the movement reduction, and would rather do more damage with that build. I do sometimes miss the extra hp, but I don't die any more than I did as a stalwart, but my enemies sure die faster as a kensei. However at tier I, stalwart is much better than kensei imho.

It looks like you are set up for overwhelming critical. Take that as an epic feat, and put some points into the fighter destiny to get devastating critical as a twist. Fatesinger would probably be better in the long run, but would require going through shadowdancer, and the ranger one would be decent for you, and much easier to get.

PBS would be great, but I'm not sure what feat you would swap for it. Without slaying arrows you really shouldn't be using your bow that much anyway, even with manyshot.

It looks like it will be fun. Enjoy! :)

What's the benefit of the second rogue level?
Because Fighter 7 looks quite nice granting Haste Boost III, and another toughness enhancment.

The Epic Feats literally scream for Overwhelming Critical. With a +4 Con tome, and 17 Str, 17 Con, Epic Toughness is an option.
Personally, I do like Improved Sunder and Stunning Blow also a bit, but I don't know how high your DCs will be.

I have a 12Ranger/6Figther/2Rogue Tempest-Trapper ( http://my.ddo.com/character/thelanis/arnador/ the greatsword was just for some testing, 2x epic Templars Justice is what I use most) and I still like to play him. But I am not very happy about the 2. rogue level I took at 20 to cap spot, search, UMD, open lock and disable divice. Full spot isn't needed because you get that nice spell that adds a stacking +10 to spot and I open most locks on a 2. It's very convenient to open every lock first try and never miss a trap even with no spot item on, but not really needed. 7 fighter would is the better option.

Next life I will take 12ranger/7rogue/1fighter (or 1monk) because I flank mobs most of the time anyway. Traps+ evasion + high dodge + selfheals + no aggro (if possible) = I hardly ever die and the healers can focus on the "tanks". If you get a good set of weapons that 100% offhand proc + haste boost can sometimes grab aggro in raids, better get some threat reduction. First I thougt I don't need any because ranger won't do that much damage anyway, but luckyly I was wrong. 12ranger tempests DO good damage.

I like the second rogue level for Wand and Scroll Mastery I but for this build I'd go 12 ranger/7 rogue/1 fighter instead for the additional rogue DPS.

The real trick with melee DPS builds is whether you plan to take Overwhelming Critical (when it's fixed) or not. It's feat intensive but a significant DPS boost.
Basics:
5 base feats: Dodge, Mobility, Spring Attack, Improved Critical: Slashing, Power Attack
1 fighter: EWP: Khopesh
1 human: Toughness

2 feat slots left. Still need WF:S, Cleave, Great Cleave to be able to take OC at 21. Could use the level 21 feat slot for a prereq and then take it at 24, there aren't many good epic feats to choose for your build so I think this option works best.

Only if HElf with rogue dilly, dumping OTWF. Otherwise, rogue has more DPS.

2 rouge gives evasion which in the long run will get you more damage mitigation that heavy armor.

I'd take Elf and EO as the two FEs. Though that's debatable as the Drow typically don't have a ton of HP.

But then, Evasion is granted also by 9 ranger.

Rouges are not as overpowdered as everyone thinks they are.

Ahhh, read it quick and thought it was a 12 fighter build.

I played a 12 ranger/7 fighter/1 rogue tempest-kensei build. Absolutely loved it. Having haste boost III and extra toughness enhancement was nice. You will be able to get just about every trap in the game (with reasonably acquired gear), have plenty of extra feats (fighter gets a boatload) and not really need to worry about skill points (ranger gets plenty of skill points, allowing you to max disable/search/umd).

Someone previously posted about not needing to worry too much about spot. I agree, because you will have Wild Instincts available to help (+10 stacking spot). Some people argue that 1 rogue is not enough, but it's plenty to give you access to disable/pick lock/umd. Good luck and have fun.

Ty for all the posts, I guess its just deciding whether or not to take 7 fighter or 7 rogue, probably 7 fighter for extra feats to make overwhelming critical a more open choice.

edit: 10% heal amp or 1 str and fighter toughness 2?

Unless I missed something obvious you can have OC on the 7 rogue split without missing any crucial feat making it the best choice I am certain.

I'll run it though the char gen to make sure, do you an opinion on 10% heal amp or 1 str and 10 hp? Torn on enhancements with the 7 fighter build.

Reading the release notes up for Lam shows that Weapon Focus has been dropped from the pre-reqs. Still going to be very tight on feats.

need wf:s for kensei though, at least if you go that route.
