Pretty sure it'll be separate.
The MotU pre-purchase mentionned containing 3 packs, and even if I'm not sure exactly how they will be split (mostly if the underdark wilderness will be part of the first or the second pack), it's pretty clear we already have a King's forest pack (4 chain quests + 2 side quests), the Sschindylryn pack (4 chain quests + 2 side quests) and the Demonweb pack (3 chain quests + 1 raid)

I cant find the post at the moment, but there was already a dev post indicating that the enhancement pass (and thus, the prestige enhancements) has been pushed back and is no longer part of U15

U13: Any F2P content? (I'm premium w/ the pack and so it doesn't apply to me but...) Kinda sad for the f2p'ers that can run U13 + into the web and get to eveningstar only to get 1 token for challenges that are universally hated.

What's the price point? Will I need to favor grind a couple hundred points or drop cash to cover the cost?

Yeah, IIRC it got pushed back for after u15 before u14 even came out. There's not really any practical way for them to sell the enhancements update so it ends up being a back burner thing.

OTOH hopefully being on the back burner for a long time means it's gets more contemplation over time, which is good because a poorly thought out enhancements update would be pretty terrible for the game.

Call me pessimistic. Things are looking like I feared when MOTU was released. It appears to me that the 'old' area of DDO is being ignored, and all the effort is being put into the 'new' MOTU.

I wonder if any of the 'known issues' on the list for pre MOTU will ever be addressed, things that have been on the list, some for well over a year.

We are working on it, but it has been pushed back. We have too much destiny cleanup work at the moment to put all the system designers on it.

So it appears that the new enhancements and prestige classes being finished won't happen until the Devs fix the Epic Destinies. So it sounds like Update 16 the earliest, but I suspect some time early next year will be more likely. ugh!

The enhancements will come when they are ready. This is this exact SAME logic for the reason why there are so many bugs. hurry up and give me the product when its not ready and fix it when you can.

With this update will fix things they have the majority of it rolled out such as forgotten realms,druids, destiny's, and monster manual to name a few this will lead to more people focusing on the enhancements next. As well as the next update and more fixes of course but those are always in the pipeline.

Hokay, I'll try to hit all the points.

Turbine mentioned prior to UD14's release -exactly- how they were going to approach UD14 and UD15.
The delay of the enhancements update was the only thing that differed from previous impressions from the devs.
It was made very clear that UD15 would cover additional content for the expansion- that is, additional high level FR content. It was also -suggested- that lower level content would be considered for UD16. And, originally, the enhancements update was tentatively scheduled for UD15 [Ie, Late 2012] to begin with.

While there was a brief period where the devs unfortunately overemphasized how reliable the addition of the enhancement pass to UD14 would be, both prior to that, and following that, they made it clear that 'it was in the works and would hopefully be done (Soon™)'. That is to say, it was never said that it would come out UD15, and anyone who followed the expansion didn't take it seriously that the enhancement pass would come along with it: Honestly, the devs exceeded expectations, with what seemed to be an overly demanding deadline.

But, the meat of the matter is- well, Shadowrth covered it. It's not a feature we actually paid for [except in the abstract/general sense], and even if it were, rushing it out won't help anything. Especially not with hireling and spell bugs that are STILL escalating, all the way since UD9, as well as the lag lock, load-up-crashing, and physics bugs.
Lets not add to that, please.

As far as prices go, they were mentioned back during the original pre-order mention. Here y'are:


Menace of the Underdark Adventure Packs – 2495 Turbine Points
Epic Destinies (account wide unlock) – 995 Turbine Points
Eveningstar Challenge Pack (free to VIPs) – 695 Turbine Points

I imagine we won't know the price of the new UD15 pack until it releases, as usual :P

I'm sure your melons will be just fine. You misunderstand what I am saying. I DO NOT want anything new until the bugs with U14 are fixed. We were told we would have the new enhancements awhile ago. The enhancements are not a money maker for turbine. That is why it is pushed back again. U14 was obviously rushed to meet a release date that was not realistic. Two patches later its still is not fixed. It is delusional to think that U15 will fix all the problems, more than likely it will intoduce more. Which means they will be working on fixing that instead of enhancements and the prestige classes. In the meantime though Turbine will still have your money, but not mine.

Really dissappointed the enhancement pass as well as the missing prc did not make it to update 15 as I was really looking forward to them and have been waiting for them for a loooong time. (sorry for the long sentence)

Hopefully at least some of the current bugs will be squashed, killed and burned for good measure. And no, I am not expecting a flawles game as such an MMO does not exist.

I hope we have a chance to testdrive it soon on Lamaland. :)
