Sora Kell Set, Universal SP and Healing

Both my pally and cleric are currently using the Wrath of Sora Kell set, which gives a +40 Universal Spell Power bonus when worn. But both of them are getting the same results when healing while wearing and not wearing the set. So two questions arise:
- Did Universal (previously known as Potency) stop affecting healing after U14?
- If it's still on, is the Sora Kell set bugged?

Do you happen to have a devotion item equipped somewhere? or a larger value of potency? Thats about all I can think of that would cause this, short of the set bonus being bugged. But come on, a bug in DDO? Like thats really gonna happen :)

I believe it's the set itself. There have been multiple reports about it not affecting healing spells.

Went and got mine out of the bank earlier, worked, I just had to take my other devotion item off.

I have the same problem with this set on my Bard. It doesn't increase any of her various spell powers at all.

I'm presuming it's bugged and simply nothing increases, even for spell schools that I do not have any other bonus type equipped (i.e. my Fire magic should show the universal +40 for example, but it does not increase at all).

known issues. Sora Kell set is NOT providing any bonus that it should be.
In truth most sets bonus to spell power are bugged.

I think they have this slated to be fixed in U15.

I wouldn't get my expectations up too highly, though. You're likely to be disappointed.

I tested this out on a couple of my characters and couldn't get +40 SP to show up on anything no matter what order I equipped the set or what other gear I was wearing. I also didn't see an increase in my cure spells in case it was some display error - it doesn't appear to be.

I would bug report it. I vaguely recall other posts about set bonuses not affecting devotion.

Not only is it a known issue, but it's a bug that's already addressed on the development servers with the fix arriving with U15. But don't take my word for it:


This bug is fixed internally on our development build, and the fix will go live with Update 15.

Same goes for all non-functioning Spell Power set bonii.

It's not a bug...

Potency's effectiveness was cut in half when dealing with healing spells to increase the value of devotion for healers (with update 14).

If you have a devotion item, it's likely eclipsing your potency effectiveness.
