To get a Parasitic Breastplate, am I better off just running "In the Flesh" repeatedly, or the entire Harbinger chain for two chances ("In the Flesh" end chest and chain reward)? Considering how much time is taken up by "The Missing" I guess it is former, but depending on drop rate may not be. What do you think?

It is a very frequent drop from the quest...I have pulled it many times.

Right now, Parasitic Breastplate is not one of the better armors. It used to be near the top of the line, but now, Random Lootgen armor exceeds it.

I'm hoping Parasitic Breastplate will get an upgrade in a future update.

Hi,

I am TRing so I didn't get to the new content yet. I only farmed House of P, D and Red Fens eHards to get tokens (and made eAntique for my barb woot!).

Displacement guard and +10 to reflex saves from the madness upgrades are common now?

Fleshshaper's Brigandine (Negative Energy Absorption 20% and Disintegration Guard) with Displacement Guard is too weak for a barbarian? What should I be trying to get?

I am also TRing a Monk... He is at level 16 and wearing an unfinished dragontouch. Currently with Air guard and 20% healamp.

I was planning to get more 10% heal amp or resistance +5 eldritch rune and something better than Air Guard (probably earthgrab, disintegration or dodge 3%)

Is it a waste of time?

To the OP. It is a common drop, but I would do the whole chain...

If you're very unlucky and don't get it in the chest, the third repetition of the chain has an improved drop rate for named items (and there are some other nice things there too like the Bow of the Sinew, Quivering quiver, tharack bracers, etc)

If you just want to complete, you can avoid lots of fighting in "Missing" (invis/sneak and skipping optionals).

I have never had a pure barb...have always splashed fighter so I can wear heavy armor. At lvl 16+ you can wear various flavors of Mountain Plate, which will give you the best AC and personal resistance at that lvl on Lootgen items.

Cavalry plate from Crystal Cove is still really good armor otherwise.

If you don't care about AC, the Parasitic Breastplate can still be useful if you upgrade it.
