Why did they nerf flaming sphere? I am not refering to the known issue of it just not doing damage, that is known and will get fixed when they get around to it. No what I'm talking about is that a sorceror can no longer have two out at a time.
Lets look at this, it is a spell that:
-can't be heightened
-can't be maximised
-can't be empowered
-can't be extended
-has a long cast time
-does only 2d6 fire damage
-moves very slowly
-does fire damage
-reflex save for no damage (everyone evades)
It used to be 1 minute duration, with a 1 minute cooldown, except for sorcerers, who only had a 30 second cooldown, thereby allowing a sorc to have two out at once. It was not powerful, but it was something I enjoyed when I spent a rotation as a fire savant.
So my question is: why was the above deamed to be so powerful that it needed the same coding added to it as a summons, that only allows one out at a time? It does not benefit from anything a summon does, so should not have the same penalties. It is also vastly weaker than any summons.
Please devs, consider reverting this spell back to its older version.
