What? Light burst damage and extra fire on crits with disintegrate procing on the speed of a monk? I think it's worth a forum post, hence my post. I'm sorry you feel this way, but I think these wraps are outstanding.

To further my point, bear in mind I have Holy Burst and Shocking Burst ToD rings. And I'm a Dark Monk (Touch of Death) with Grandmaster of Flowers ED so I'll have several attacks that can hit from 100-800 damage with varying types and proc rates on top of lots of guaranteed base damage. Well, I'm excited about them....../sadpanda

Those wraps are not a bad find at all! Although admittedly a far cry for the set I'd happily fork over my soul for a +X Pandemonium of Mauling handwraps! I'll be checkin the AH till the end of time for a set of those things :)

Awww yeah, I'd love to get some Pandemonium wraps. I pulled +5 Holy of Mauling recently, and those are pretty swanky.

They are nice, but...

Those

+5 enh is ~5 damage/swing
Flaming blast is a mere ~.5 damage/swing.
Brilliance is 4 damage/swing
Distigrate is ~9 damage/swing
=18.5 damage/swing

vs +5 greater bane without prefix

+5 enh is ~5 damage/swing
greater bane is 14.5 damage/swing (and +4 higher to-hit)
=19.5 damage/swing

So any +5 greater bane is better vs that creature type, plus if you are lucky it is an extra 3.5 from shocking/frost etc, 4 from burst or 7 from holy. That is huge.

Of course, this means that you need to use a lot more wraps and hotswaps. So you might get some offers from lazy players :D

And compared to alchemicals, not even close :P

Found a desert sands of the suns fury the other day, +5 Gsword.

Ran the numbers and it's still ~2 pts/swing behind litII iirc, sadly.

Hell of a lot cheaper though. :D

edit: mauling isn't bad on a nice crit range weapon, its ~8.5/swing on a khopesh, and most things bleed

In the first week of U14 going live I pulled a Anarchic burst of Virulent Poison (Con) I thought those were really fun to use its just a shame Epic ward on Hard/Elite makes stat damage useless :/

I remember there being a Dev post saying that the best stuff can only be gotten on EE with a loot bonus or two. dozkal-ne is my other account (I had weird issues when I got into the Closed Underdark Beta, so folks please forgive me).

Yeah...I've since then found some great stuff. I've got +5 Annihilating of Smiting wraps now, which are loads of fun. Yes, I have the Grave Wraps. I really want the Shocking Burst version of Dynamo wraps with one of the aforementioned suffixes (light damage something, preferably, but not Radiance); then I could take off my SB ToD ring permanently and feel more inclined to farm for a Dun'Robar ring.
