I didn't see this in the patch notes... but Dragon Heritage (tier 3 Draconic Incarnation) used to give you a +30% spell power boost... now it gives +30 spell power.
Was this just an update of the description? I did a search and have not seen any comments about it.
Anyone notice changes in damage?

Its one and the same, 1 SP = 1% SP
So 30 SP = 30%

I have always assumed that it meant +30 spell power, NOT a +30% increase to spell power. If it meant the latter, then has been bugged since release - when I picked it up, it did not increase my damage much at all. I think they are just fixing the description to make it clear that it adds (and has always added) +30 spell power. Which is hard to notice on a sorc.
Isn't spell power a percentage by definition?
Spell power rating determines how much damage you deal with spells (http://ddowiki.com/page/Spell). In most cases, each point of spell power increase increases the base damage of your spell by 1 %. Various effects can contribute to your spell power, all effects are added together.

Yes, but the OP apparently though it gave a 30% increase to his total spell power, not added another 30% to his cumulative spell power modifier.

Guess thats why they changed the description, so as not to cause any confusion.
"OMG! I thought this was supposed to increase my SP by 30%" and all that.

So 30 SP = 30%
+30 and +30% are not at all the same thing. Turbine can't maths either apparently. They use them interchangeably and it causes this exact confusion.

or, alternately... "OMG, I thought this was actually worth spending epic AP on before I realised what it actually does".
and in actuality, it's terrible. it's a shame it's a requirement for other abilities that are actually good...
