Level 20 Cannith Challenges - Lousy rewards on level 25 Toons.

(Standard): <rgb=0x00FFFFFF>You have been awarded 20 Arcanaloth Scrolls.</rgb>This is a completion of Labor Shortage with almost 200 extra crystals. You know without a shared bank and a level 20 toon i'll have very hard time to make my own Cannith Crafted Items.

This thing has to be rewieved. I don't want to roll a level 20 toon just to farm some ingredients.

Looks like challenges uses the Experience modifiers to determine the amount of reward they give. In fact a level 4 toon in the challenge that has a level 20 toon in as well gets powerelevelled -99% and so gets no reward. Further testing might be interesting to see if tome of learning, that provides base bonus XP to quest, gives more reward or even a XP pot.

I have the exact same problem on my level 20 trying to get ingredients from challenges that max out at level 15.

I doubt that the Tome of Learning will affect ingredients, as ingredients are a function of score, not xp earned. Score is modified by how many levels you are over the challenge.

So I guess that means that the answer is to roll up an alt to farm those challenges. A level 15 alt for those challenges that max out at 15, and a level 20 alt for those challenges that max out at 20.

Old thread I know but just had a similar experience.

30 reward for a 3 star challenge (L20 and i am L25). I would run it at L25 but I need the lower end rewards to start a cannith item :-(

They should just allow you to trade epic mats for non-epic ones of the same type, 1:1, problem mostly solved.
