DDO with Steam question

How does it work when you buy DDO related things on Steam? Like, would it ask for my account information to tie the content to my DDO account? I am thinking about buying the expansion via Steam instead of Digital River, and want to be sure that it does give the benefits to my DDO account.

I believe it merely outputs a key for you (which is what happens with Digital River as well). You apply that key via your Turbine Account page and you should be good to go.
