View Full Version : Wanting To Reclaim My Guild

Ok, first of all, I will attempt to make a few things clear so as not to have this post get misconstrued like the other post I have made on my server forums. First, I am not seeking any kind of sympathy, or seeking to blame anyone for anything that has happened in the past, that is in the past and if anyone is to blame, it is me (I will explain further). Second, I am not asking Turbine or anyone else to break the rules, I perfectly understand why they are there. What I am asking is to review the issue at hand and possibly assist me in what I am trying to accomplish (again, I will explain further). Lastly, I do not want to make another guild and "move on", that is not in my interest. What is in my interest is preserving a guild that is a symbol of the Khyber server and its' foundation.

I know I may get varying opinions and different attitudes towards this subject but, I believe this instance has some significance and I am hoping to get some help in these forums. All I ask is that you not judge me for anything that has happened years ago, and try to be as fair as you can, as I will try to be appreciative of whatever opinions come flying my way.

Anyways, to the issue. I am a returning beta tester and founding player of DDO on the Khyber server. I founded the guild Underworld Legion when the game launched in 2006. I have recently returned as of last year, and found my guild to be absent of players, despite a large roster. In fact, I still know most of the names on the roster from back then but seems they haven't logged in in quite some time either. 2 players, who have 3 and 4 toons a piece, have logged on in the past 3 years, and 4 players, with about 4 toons per, have logged on in the past 5 years, and everyone else, including the current guild leader, has not logged on in well over 5.5 years (in fact, its almost 6 years). I will provide screenshots of the guild roster below to illustrate.

When I had to leave DDO back then, I had some real life issues to sort out and was unable to play, so I did the responsible thing and handed the guild off (which was painful mind you) to people I had hoped would care for the guild while I was away. Upon returning, I now see they have left the guild but left toons in it that I believe no longer exist. The leader (whom I am not familiar with) is unavailable for contact, left a guild message saying they were reforming another guild and left no successor to my guild. For some reason, my toons all got demoted to regular membership and I cannot overtake the guild again because I lack the officer status (which I had when I left). I have a real life friend still in the guild as well, but he has not logged on in over 2 years himself, and will not return my texts.

All I am asking for, is a means to reclaim my guild due to inactivity on my own. In other words, is there any way I can gain officer status to reclaim my guild or perhaps a measure in place where any ordinary guild member can overtake the leader after a certain amount of inactivity by the leader AND officers? I am willing to work within the boundaries of the rules but I am also asking for a break here. This guild, my guild, means a lot to me when I made it and it still does today. It is a founder's guild and 3 of my toons at the time, including my main, are literally etched in stone in the Harbor Founder's Statue (Mydnight, now Mydnight-khy, Mythril and Silhouette). I do not want to create another guild because this one has such meaning to the server itself, and I believe this meaning has merit to current players as well. I have had several guild requests from people I have run with over the past year + and they are all interested in being a part of something that once helped to found DDO on the Khyber server, so I know being a part of a founder's guild still bears interest.

I want to make this a formal petition to reclaim my guild, and I would greatly appreciate any and all assistance in helping me to attain my goal. It is not for vanity, it is not for sympathy, or any other such measure. It is for pride of the Khyber server and for the people that still play the game that are no longer in the guild. I have recently spoken with other well-known guilds on Khyber who have given me their support in-game, and I hope that support continues here. I have also spoken with a few who have supported me on the Khyber forums as well, all of which are greatly appreciated. This post is made here by the request of a couple of people who felt it wouldnt hurt to try, and I agree. Please help me in bringing back a founder's guild and in helping me to re-establish it for the future, as I have no intentions of ever leaving again, now that my life is in order. I am literally begging for help in this matter and any that can be given will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for listening.

You really don't want to keep posting the same post.

Duplicate thread.

Multiple threads on the same issue can lead to infractions, just letting you know.

Oh, I had no idea, my many apologies, feel free to delete.

Only reason I posted here was I thought that with so many forums it may go unseen. Appreciate the heads up.
