Don't you love it when the DM's choose to read and respond to only certain threads? Ive had mine up for a few days and no answer, while another posted one today and got a response today

i choose which threads to read and reply. you choose which threads to read and reply. as a general rule, everyone on these forums does that.
given the devs (apart from the few times when they are making or responding to *official* threads) are reading and replying on their spare time, for the most part... well, deal with it. it's their time. they can read and reply to what they want to, just like you and me. they don't owe any of us a response, it's not their job to spend all their time reading the forums to find questions and answer them any more than it is your job or my job.

Have you tried to track down all the threads in here?
It would take a lot for a Turbine employee to respond to every one. Or even 1/2 of them!
If you are having a particular problem and don't feel like it is being resolved, you can always PM one. Sometimes if you are nice, that will work. Or you can try contacting customer service directly.

My apologies to the Bard, but:
There are more ways to be ignored on these forums, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.

Count the number of threads in this forum that have had posts in the last 2 days. A dozen or so. This forum (In Game Customer Service) is not inundated with hundreds of posts daily. It is supposedly a way to have your non-emergency issues addressed by customer service.
However the very obvious fact is that many of the threads go completely ignored by customer "service". Honestly, using the term "customer service" in application to DDO is hilarious. I have posted here, asking a very valid question, one that was repeatedly ignored by in game customer service and summarily ignored here as well.
Posting here hoping you get an actual response from anyone other than players is simply a long shot.

FYI, a "dev" or developer is not the same position as a "customer support rep". Dev's do not answer in game customer support tickets. Dev's do not handle trivial customer support issues, period. Companies do not pay developers to spend their time writing forum posts. Likewise, customer support reps, for any business, are generally non-skilled workers who make close to minimum wage.
When Turbine made a forum that says "Have a non urgent question for a GM? Post it here." then yes, they DO have a responsibility to actually answer the questions posted here. After all, their customers see the forum, take the time to post a question and have a reasonable expectation of receiving an answer.
Ignoring the majority of posts here is straight up bad business practice.

When you post, be smart, concise, and helpful. Make your subject short and too the point. Try your best to not be redundant (don't post about an issue that has already been addressed in other threads, or add additional threads on the same topic). Don't be butt-hurt.
Do this consistently. Srsly. Every time you post. Then, MAYBE then, if they drift through, they may come and take a look at your thread if it happens to catch their eyes.

We don't have any DMs in this game.
GMs do not respond (that I've ever seen) to forum posts.
Moderators respond to posts where information has been cleared for release, or where devs have asked for more info, or where its funny. They don't have the knowledge or authority, or time to respond to every post.
Developers respond ONLY ON THEIR OWN TIME. That's right, they aren't paid 1min to post here. This has been repeatedly confirmed. Except for very specific incidents (such as running the Lama project or gaining research info for themselves) they are posting here due to their dedication to the community on their own time. Asking them to respond to every post is stupid impossible and completely unfair. They also aren't cleared to release everything nor does any particular dev know everything (Well except maybe Eladrin and 404  )
You had a 50% response rate and you complain? You need to rethink.

.
What's the name of this forum? Let me copy paste it:
"In-Game Customer Service Have a non urgent question for a GM? Post it here. Urgent requests should use the in-game Help options."
So Turbine created a forum specifically directing players to post non-urgent questions for GMs. However GMs rarely respond to any questions. It doesn't matter how clear you are. I asked a direct question: Are player run lotteries permitted in DDO? I asked because these are common scams that have been banned by mainstream MMOs to protect their gullible players (mostly the children) and also because games that openly permit unregulated player to player gambling don't settle well with many parents.
I asked because on my server, there is daily "lottery" spam and whenever I or anyone else I have known puts in a GM ticket reporting the player in game, the support ticket gets deleted. No response, not a single word from the GMs. Not even a ticket closed. The tickets are actually deleted as if I had never posted them. They no longer show up in my support history. This happens literally within minutes.
So I came here for a definitive word from a GM on whether or not Turbine is ok with players running these "lotteries" where they spam the channels offering to sell "tickets" (pretend tickets, I am told this is roleplay, but oddly enough he won't sell people pretend tickets for pretend plat rofl) to suckers who think there is a chance that he will roleplay selecting their ticket and give them one million plat.
Nothing could be more clear, yet they ignore the question on this forum as well as in game.
Posting here with the hopes that a GM will respond is an exercise in futility.
Don't bother.
