Defender Docents

Since the update I've noticed quite a few funky looking iron defenders running about with neon colors like yellow and purple and a darker metal color. Yet my trusty rusty pup looks like his usual, boring <by comparison> self with some red stripes. I've tried quite a few different docents to try for an unusual color but no dice.
Are there particular new docents that bestow these hyper-colors or something?

The suppressed version will give your pup hot pink highlights, unsuppressed, will be a blue-green. For fun, I tried the three named docents I had rotting in the bank: the Gorgon, Blademark's, and Diabolist's Docents. All three made the dog's highlight colors a red-orange.

Huh...so i guess my good ol' Beholder Plate and random other ones just don't have the zazzle of some other named docents. Thanks for the feedback, i appreciate it.
