Hi there, i have played this game for a week or two and wish to try something new after learning the basics with my dwarven barbarian...

Anyways, a rogue mechanic 6 /artificer 14 comes to my mind and the followings are the pro/cons i can think of...

Drow 28pt
str 10
dex 16
con 12
int 18 (+5)
wis 8
cha 14

skills max DD, open lock, search, jump, balance, diplomacy

Pro:
free int modifier to damage roll form mechanic enhancement (ie i can have insightful attack to increase my attack rating)
sneak attack bonus
evasion with moderate to high reflex save
moderate buffing capacity
trap-smith of all time
kind of self-sufficient with UMD + artificer knowledge

Cons:
lack of offensive spellcasting (for lvl 14 you can't have blade barrier and tactical, and yeah by reading the forums i know these two spells are popular choices for high level character, along with wall of fire)

for feats since i won't cast offensive spell that often, i think i'll choose those "defensive" one like toughness/ luck of heroes instead of metamagic feats

This character is designed for dealing steady DPS, traps and buffing the party.

So is this build viable for high-level content? By viable, i mean i can really contribute to a party instead of becoming a liability.

thanks in advance for any suggestions

PS. i am a F2P, but got drow unlocked, and brought artificer
