DDO store bought tome of fate +2 uneatable ??

i just bought +2 tome of fate from the ddo store i double click it - nothing happens. i go to the target orb as well i click the use button and same thing - nothing happens.

Is your character Level 20 or above?
Do you have/own Epic Destinies?
Have you already started on an Epic Destiny path?
Have you tried different locations just in case it might be a location issue?
Have you tried logging out/logging back in and trying again?

1 - character level is 23 atm , holding 24 untill the ability point increase gets fixed.
2 - capped fatesinger 5
3 - tried diff locations - still won't eat
4 - yup tried that swapping chars /restarting client etc and whats not

I grabbed the tome on day one and was very upset I couldn't NOM it. I was about to submit a ticket then decided maybe I'll go visit the fatespinner. While I was "manipulating my destiny" I was able to eat it just fine. Perhaps a small note in the description of the tome if it isn't there already would be appropriate.

To the posters asking specifics on the tome, it simply adds 2 fate points. If you have 0 fate points and eat it, you go up to 2. You can spend them like any other fate points to add or upgrade twists. As to whether it increases the max number, I can't say until I max out all the destinies, but I'm assuming it does increase your max right now as there is no indication so far that it won't.

So far I would say not realy. I dont think there is much you can do with 18 fate points as apossed to the 16, and realy for me it ends up being pay to save me some time (much like xp pots) as I will just not not be grinding out three dest to lv 5 (just to lv 3). Or, to put it simpler, one could just say that to hit the 16 points (twist one maxed, twist two at tier 2, and twist three at tier one), without a tome you need 48 destiney lv's and with the tome you only need 42.

As far as I know, to get that argueably best 4/2/1 you need 18 points. It's 1+2+3+4=10 points to max the first, 2+3=5 to tier2 the second and 3 to tier1 the third, for a total of 18.
Also for the almost equally nice sweet 3/3/1 is (1+2+3)+(+2+3+4)+3=18 as well.
So you actually need 54 epic levels to get these without tome of fate.

But I heard U16 has a new destiny so your point will soon be true even though your argument is not :)

With tome you can get 20 points for 4/4/0 which doesn't sound that good anyway (4/2/2 or 3/3/2 are still out of reach)

You need to talk to the fatespiner to manipulate your destiny then read it.
