View Full Version : Rippin' MAD! Did Turbine Scam me?

Just want to get your guys' two cents before I take this to customer service.

I am a premium subscriber.

I read this post from Tolero stating instructions on how to unlock menace of the underdark.. I'll post the link, but the long and short of it was there 'supposedly' is an option for " no, I don't have a game card, i'll add one later " or something..

In his post says " If you are a premium or free to play member and don't want to upgrade your subscription at this time "... do this..

Anyhow I paid $85 for the standard digital ' Menace of the Underdark ' and the discounted 5000 TP.

When I go to activate the code for MotUD it says that in order to continue I have to 'resume my subscription' ( I was a paid VIP for 2 years with my old credit card ). I canceled the subscription back in '10.

It said my account was suspended due to non payment.. but I know for a fact that i cancelled it from renewing ( I was on a 6 month plan, so by paying up front for 6 months - then cancelling I don't owe them a dime).

I was able to redeem the 5k tp (seperate code). But the $50+ for the underdark is unavailable to me because i'm a premium...

If anyone says that MotUD isn't availble for premiums until August, I would ask you to read the post that states that you don't need to upgrade your subscription to unlock the expansion..

to save time reading through lengthy post here is the excerpt..
"If you do not want to subscribe at this time, please select "Game Card or Other Payment Methods".
Then check off "I don't have one right now, I will enter one later."


so either turbine reverses the $50 and I continue on playing as a premium,
or the make it so I can log on to my premium account and activate the expansion...


thoughts? ideas? Suggestions?

I'd give tech support a call. Tell them your current situation and they'll help ya out. Ive called a few times due to problems with my DDO subscription plan. They fixed it pretty fast each time. And told me how to fix the problem myself for future reference. Quite pleased with their support.

Pretty much what Zyerz said, it sounds like you are having an issue getting your expac code entered properly. Give tech support a call, explain your situation to them, calmly, and they should be able to help you get your account upgraded. I know it isn't an issue with premium accounts specifically as I am premium, and had no issues activating my expac code, so they shouldn't have any issue activating yours for you.

Just to clarify, you will want to contact Account Support about this, not Tech Support. Account Support's contact information is in my signature. Fear not, they can get this fixed right up for you.
