Doing The Pit on elite... there are dozens of force traps everywhere that can't be disarmed, which used to hit for 15-20 damage and now hit for 140-160 damage.

Elite, shmelite -- this is a level 7 quest. Making it a bit tougher is fine, but ten times the damage?

My response: I believe this has to be a bug, more than likely associated with the implementation of EE, and will be fixed.

i think this is a good thing for the Pit. It forces players to actually use some skill to avoid the force traps and not just aimlessly float around through them saving or taking menial amounts of damage and calling it a day. I am very much for keeping the traps nice and painful. It forces players to actually use skill rather than just zerg through traps at will.

There's a happy medium between zerging thoughtlessly and cowering in fear. I'm in a party right now with several experienced players and several not-so-experienced, many of us with 200-250 HP, and we're at over 30 deaths and not close to finished.

When it gets to the point where people don't even feel like continuing, it's overdone. If I wanted to play a game that required this much twitch skill to survive, I'd play Super Mario.

Has Turbine really not commented? Stuff like this just makes me want to log off.

40 deaths now. Still not done.

"No challenge, no fun"? Fine. But this isn't fun either.

The sad part is watching those very same people cry about the difficulty of Epic Elite and certain abilities of monsters in expansion content. It is a small, hateful group of people that will stop at nothing to have the game tailor-made to them, and no one else. It only furthers one's disappointment in humanity.

Finally got it done thanks to a good, persistent leader. 52 deaths I think.

In all honesty, it wasn't worth it, even for 30k XP.

The Pit is supposed to be a challenging quest, isn't it? Why else would it be the top XP producing quest of that level...

Yeah way to take the high road there.... People whining about people wanting a harder game is worse than the people calling for it.

Yes this is so a bug. A pretty terrible one at that. Turbine needs to get their ducks in a row already. This "one change affecting something totally unrelated" thing is getting a bit old.
