Is there a way to reset so I can pick a different destiny? I haven't earned a singel epic XP yet so it's still fresh.
Please don't tell me I have to completely reroll to do it.....

Unfortunately, you have to level up destinies to 3/4 to move along the destinies map until you reach the one you want, or else buy unlock(s) from the store. Once you choose your first destiny, it's unchangeable.
However, epic XP does seem to come pretty fast, and you are going to want to level up more destinies besides the one you really want anyway to unlock twists of fate, so at least it's not a complete waste of time to slowly work your way over to where you want to be.

I took magister and I want shiradi champion. Can I switch if I reroll?
Call me ignorant, but what you wrote makes absolutely no sense to me.
I know you can eventually get to all of them. I just want to switch my initial choice for the more immediate bonuses.

Short answer: No you cannot switch once you activate your initial Destiny
Long answer: Your only "Stuck" with this destiny until you gain 3 Destiny Levels, then you can switch to the destiny that you want. While this may seem frustrating it is not a total loss as you are most likely going to want 3 levels at least in every destiny.
Now once you have unlocked a destiny you will be able to switch your active destiny for any of your unlock ones at a fatespinner.

Rerolling will in fact let you choose again; however, this will likely take more time than would just leveling your current destiny to 3 and moving on.

Your first Epic Destiny has to be in the school DDO put you in.
Since you were able to choose Magister then you are considered a Divine Caster, even if you LRed you still can only take Magister,Draconic Incarnation or Fatesinger as your first Epic Destiny.
I tried to take Shadowdancer with my Arti the first time,it would not let me.DDO considers Artificers Divine casters so you are forced to take one of the 3 that I said.
You cannot take Shiradi Champion as your first Destiny

Not Divine casters, but Arcane casters.
Arcane casters are Artificers, Bards, Sorcs and Wizards.
Divine casters are FvS and Clerics, with Paladins as a non-caster Divine in the Divine sphere.
And just to cover all the bases, there's also the Primal sphere that covers Barbarians, Druids and Rangers and the Martial sphere that covers Fighter, Monk and Rogue.

I took magister and I want shiradi champion. Can I switch if I reroll?
Only if this reroll also had you changing class to Ranger, Barbarian, or Druid.
You NEED to level up other destinies in order to get fate points. You need fate points to use twists of fate. Twists of fate are extremely nice.
Starting as Magister and working over to Shiradi is not going to harm you in any meaningful way.

Look at this:
http://ddodestiny.info/#
From Magister it´s 3 dots up to fatesinger, from there on 4 to Shadowdancer, then 3 dots right up to Legendary D and from there another 4 dots to Shiradi.
That means: You have to
- lvl up Magister to lvl3 then you can
- switch to Fatesinger and lvl up to lvl4 then you can
- switch to Shadowdancer and lvl up to lvl3 then you can
- switch to Legendary Dreadnought and lvl up to lvl 4 then you can
- access Shiradi Champion
The other opportunity is to spend TP in the shop and save some of the distance. There´s an item in the shop that lets you unlock reachable destinies without getting the prereqs meaning you could instead spend 2k TP and
- lvl Magister to lvl 3, which gives u access to Fatesinger then
- use the store item to switch to Shadowdancer (which is adjacent to Fatesinger)
- lvl Shadowdancer to lvl 3 which gives access to Legendary Dreadnought then
- use the store item to switch to Shiradi (which is adjacent to Legendary Dreadnought)
I have a similar problem, not that severe but for me Sentinel seem to be the only destiny that makes sense for a tank however I chose Dreadnought when I started so I have to either use a store item or access Sentinel via lvling Grandmaster of Flowers, in which I can´t see any useful abilities at lower tiers and thus useable for twists of fate.
Although it once again confirms the grind you´ll have to go through, I hope this explanation makes it clearer to you and other who read this how connecting the destinies works.
P.S. Challenges are a good way to fairly quickly gain xp for the destinies, and if you´re a VIP you can spend your destiny points and change destinies on the fly, means you won´t have to talk to a fatespinner.

I used a Stone to knock out a Paladin past life on my Tank Alt, did a LR+5 to 10Wiz/10Paladin with the intent to take Unyielding Sov soon as I loaded in, forgot about it and went right to Druid1. Since I am going 6Fighter on my Druid all is not lost, I will take Grandmaster to 4, unlock US and Shadowdancer. I need 18 total levels anyway for my twists and I need 1 from Shadowdancer and Draconic. It sucks but it will just be a change on how I was getting the ED levels. Had I not been taking 6 Fighter, it would have been much worse.
In your case, it will just delay you unless you want to spend Turbine Points. It only becomes a problem if you had no intentions to unlock twists.

Checko out DDO Store.
Exactly.
They knew this was going to come up, so they sell a workaround for those folks that don't want to grind through to the one they want. The epic destinies level up pretty fast though, from what I've experienced. I'm not even 1/2 way through the new content without any real grind and I'm already looking at other trees I can unlock. The Epic XP is really good.
