Tested this problem out all night last night. two issues.

1) I have two shortcut bars placed VERTICALLY on the right side of my screen side by side. after each login, they diminish in width, narrowing each time till they are tiny. no other shortcut bars on my screen do it no matter where they are placed.

2) After each login, and with each instance change, the primary shortcut bar loses its memory and defaults to blank. I have to scroll it to the items i need each time.

edited to replace horizontal to vertical. Apparently I dont know which end is up!

For point 1. you can do a layout save with the command /ui layout save name, and then, load that same layout whenever the bug happens. Just use the "load" version of that command /ui layout load name. This seems a small glitch, it also happens to other people, including myself, on my vertical bars.

For point 2, I think what *may* be happening to you. If you are talking about the main toolbar, the one where you can use the mouse scroll wheel to switch to another bar-in-place, just make sure every singel bar outside that one, are in increased orther. Say if you have 4 total bars, 1 main + 3 custom placed ones, you would have this scheme:

1. Custom
2. Custom
3. Custom
4. Main bar

If the main bar currently has bar nÂș 5, but "inside" it, there is a nr 4, it will switch to that one when logging in. Place your icons on the toolbar with the lower number inside the main bar, and this is solved.

Point one was mainly information for the devs in case its a bug that affects something else in the game. Quite often small clues like that lead to bigger problems. Your suggestion on point two is probably whats going on. I never really payed attention to the shortcut bar order. thank you

See if http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=380030 helps you. If you want, I'll gladly edit your layout file for you.

1) I have two shortcut bars placed horizontelly on the right side of my screen side by side. after each login, they diminish in width, narrowing each time till they are tiny. no other shortcut bars on my screen do it no matter where they are placed. try putting the hotbar to vertical, then back. that seems to work for me

I've got vertical bars on the right of my screen. the furthest right gets squeezed narrower and narrower. logging doesn't fix.

As toaf just says above you although that fix *may* not be working for you.

Just toggle/rotate the bars vertical or horizontal & it *should* fix it.

It fixes it for me when this happens which is more often then not.

I'm also experiencing this on my vertical bars.

The horizontal bars appear normal except that the right side of the bar appears chopped off instead of having a rounded edge when in windowed mode. Then in full screen mode the bars always have some additional graphic attached:

I'm kind of wondering if this is being caused from either starting in windowed mode or from ALT-ENTERing during the game. I had to reset things once already and they stayed put until I flippped back to windowed mode.

Edit: The toggle rotate trick works to clear them for me.

Rotating them horizontal and back cleared it up for me.

I've bugged it with examples to reproduce it, screenshots and workarounds. Hopefully they fix it soon.

Rotate the bars twice may solve, but it may be more simpler to load the current UI (save it before loading if you haven't done it so). It places all bars with the dimensions they should have from start, plus you don't have the work to place them again in the same place.

Ok thats the fix for now. Wonder if the problem may be a clue to some other issue. thx for the heads up about rotating.
