I doubt it. They're probably using the AH to try and recoup their losses from re-buying ship buffs and then losing them again.

AH price changes always come with a long delay. You put in something at the price you're used to. 3 days later, you get it back. Might have been bad luck, try again... After a while, you start noticing that cheaper offers are not rare exceptions but becoming common... maybe you should also go lower?
Rising up is a bit easier: item sells extremly quick. Either pure luck to have someone search right after you put it in or unusually cheap and the polling lurkers found it. Check prices and / or try a higher one next time you get the item.

There's a ton of stuff going on on the AH these days. A lot of people geared up for the Xpac and are playing with what they have and the new stuff. This week at least, Cannith crafting isn't necessarily the go-to place for gear. Some old stuff that were a unique or rare source of certain effects aren't anymore. Nobody has any baseline what the new stuff is worth, or how common various effects might be.

Prices are all over the place, but there seem to be plenty of sellers.
