I have been very happy with my most recent build of my bard Lirycal.

Although not exceptionally geared out quite yet, he seems to have done the job.

And then MotU came.

He is a 14 bard/ 6 fighter war chanter/stalwart split, and has been fun. I so no particular need to have the 15th level of bard in order to acquire the armor class song. However; the new armor changes have made me wonder.

With how armor works has this become a song that is just to good to pass up? Should I be saying "awww shucks," and TR'ing?

Debate and information is much welcomed as I truly wish to both play a fun build, but also one that can efficiently support a party in the ways that they might need.

Many thanks!!

Previous to this update I really liked your build heck even with this update it is still sis o.k.. The big thing it misses out on is the inspire excellence epic feat which requires unfortunately inspire heroics song which is level 15 and not a bad song as you point out with the +4% dodge which is not bad damage mitigation, but not great really most worthwhile if you had the epic edge which it sounds like you do not.

If you can manage the strength for it and use two handers one alternative concept to the inspire excellence feat is taking cleave, great cleave and overwhelming critical and epic toughness. The 14 bard 6 stalwart can easily hit 800+ hit points at level 25 which is very nice from a defensive standpoint and if you tie that in with fatesinger your songs are still very good. Your dps is on the poorish side but so are all heroic bard builds, but at least you have some buffs and good defensive capabilities.

Edited:
