VIPs get access to all adventure packs (except the expansion packs, they'll be available to non-expansion-buyers in August) and all challenge packs for the time they are subscribed. Only packs you don't own show up in the store, which is why you can't see any of them (again, the expansion packs can only be obtained through a purchase of the expansion for now).

Thanks for the reply!

What exactly are the adventure packs? Because I cannot see them in the store I don't know what they are :). I tried Googling it and I keep getting reviews that are not very descriptive.

I guess I should look for some sort of wiki

Edit:

Ok, found DDO wiki, nevermind heh

For clarification and future reference, there's an option in the store, to the left of the search bar (I believe) to show all items in the store instead of just what you can use. That would show you all the adventure packs and whatnot in the store, even if you already have them.

Adventure packs are just what the sound like - packs that you buy that have adventures in them (quests)

try this link: http://ddowiki.com/page/Adventure_Packs

the reason you cant but them is because you are what is known as a VIP - when you subscribe to the game and pay the $10 a month (or what ever it is) you have access to all the adventure packs (except the new expansion pack) for as long as you sub.

When your subscription runs out and you dont reinstate it - you will become a Free to play or F2P and will not have access to the adventure packs - and will only be able to run the F2P content or buy the adventure packs -(they will show up in the store when you go f2p) if you buy anything from the store including an adventure pack you will become a Premium player - you still dont get access to anything you haven't bought - but you get a few more character slots.

once you buy an adventure pack all the characters on your account will have access to that pack for as long as the game is live.

hope that helps - the wiki is a great source of info - read it - study it - profit

edit - the line: "When your subscription runs out and you dont reinstate it - you will become a Free to play or F2P and will not have access to the adventure packs" is awkward - you become a premium with no access to anything if you haven't bought anything from the store as a VIP (favor points and allotted points dont count) which is basically the same thing as a F2P

Not quite. I believe you are downgraded to Premium when your VIP subscription expires. As far as I'm aware, F2P only describes accounts that have not expended any actual money yet.

You might want to check out http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=338050 for further information on the subject.

You dont have to subscribe and then unsubscribe to become a premium - all you have to do is buy TPs as a F2P and you become a premium - earned TPs from favor does not count - you have to buy them with a CC or redeem a prepaid game card.

That isn't the point. The point is you don't become F2P when your VIP expires, as you erroneously stated happens.

It's not even close to being the same thing. Favor and allotted points have nothing to do with this after you spend the actual money on a VIP subscription. Once you've spent money on the game, you aren't playing for free. There are perks that go along with this.
